At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, we are Innovating Today to Power the Devices of Tomorrow.\nCome innovate with us!\nPosition Summary\nJob Description SummarySamsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an equipment engineer interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implementing solutions.\nRole and Responsibilities\nHere’s what you’ll be responsible for:\nMonitors the wafer fabrication equipment and respond to issues\n\nQualifies new manufacturing equipment\n\nCoordinates the scheduling of equipment qualifications and equipment down time with manufacturing\n\nUses software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product.\n\nMakes adjustments when equipment parameters are exceeded and monitors process parameters when tools return from maintenance.\n\nExecutes in line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.\n\nCommunicates technical information within the department through presentations.\n\nCompletes other duties as assigned.\n\nContinuously revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\n\nDevelops improved processes to increase capability.\n\nMonitor operations costs and develop cost reduction projects\n\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere’s what you’ll need:\nBS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (new grads need 3.0 GPA or better)\n\nExperience scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language\n\nUnderstanding of statistical methods\n\nChange Point Management experience and understanding of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles\n\nStructure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc..)\n\nSoftware Data Analysis software (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.)\n\nTroubleshooting Equipment or Process failures\n\nAbility to wear clean room suit and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lift < 35 lbs as well as work in tight fitting, FAB environment and sit at a computer for an extended period of time\n\nAbility to discern audible alarms\n\nMay be exposed to yellow lights, blinking lights and potential to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals\n\nAbility to support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment\n\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.\nTotal Rewards\nAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
