We're looking for a Director, Brand Marketing to help guide strategy and execution for Samsung Masterbrand in the US. Our ideal candidate is passionate about brand and understands its importance across the entire customer experience. You should be fluent in consumer marketing and comfortable in a quickly-evolving environment. This is a great opportunity to help shape how millions of customers view and experience Samsung via powerful storytelling.

This individual will have the responsibility and the privilege of leading a team to develop and execute the Samsung Electronics America brand and cx strategy and go-to-market operations for Samsung Masterbrand across its strategic priorities in order to drive short and long-term growth. This individual will inspire and drive a team who will work cross functionally to bring these priorities to life across paid, owned and earned marketing channels.

Integrated Marketing:

  • Drive brand and business growth via authentic, consistent and impactful campaigns with consumers; build love for the Samsung brand through the lens of our strategic priorities and create meaningful connections and conversations with our consumers through Social, CRM, Influencer/Creators, Events, and S.com.
  • Collaborate with Global Brand and CX team on building Samsung brand association for AI Living among US consumers with impactful campaigns that are rooted in consumer insight and historical performance learnings.
  • Liaise with the Care team to continue to drive brand love post purchase by ensuring consumers know devices and appliances are cared for through their whole life cycle.
  • Manage external creative agencies and partner with in house team of creatives under Brand Governance and Social to create x-channel campaign and promotional assets (S.com, CRM, Social etc).
  • Partner with Social and Media teams to deliver KPIs by reaching the right audiences effectively and efficiently with fit for platform content.
  • Continuously analyze the impact of our marketing efforts and find opportunities to drive better results.

Cross-Line of Business (xLOB) Marketing and Campaign Planning:

  • Oversee the development and execution of xLOB plans, promotions and campaigns to provide a singular One Samsung point of view. Events include promotional moments like Holiday, Mother’s/Father’s Day, Black Friday and Samsung Weeks.
  • Lead strategy for xLOB dot-com events and brand opportunities. Includes Samsung brand storytelling and the design and execution of the strategic priorities on Samsung.com.
  • Work with Global teams to localize campaigns and toolkits for US market. Manage timelines and budgets required.

Connected Experiences:

  • Lead CX for US in collaboration with Global CX team to develop the vision and execute marketing activities to promote AI Living experience by identifying emerging trends in connectivity, AI, and user experience to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Work closely with SmartThings, product development, marketing, and design teams across all lines of businesses to ensure a unified approach to connected experiences. Foster collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to drive integration and innovation.
  • Lead the ideation, development, and launch of new connected experiences that enhance user engagement and satisfaction. Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to market launch, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and business objectives. Develop solutions that are executed in digital and live locations, such as in retail.
  • Champion a user-first approach in all projects, leveraging insights from consumer research and data analytics to inform decision-making. Ensure that connected experiences are intuitive, accessible, and deliver value across diverse user segments.
  • Position Samsung as a leader in connected experiences by delivering differentiated solutions that set industry standards. Collaborate with external partners and ecosystems to expand Samsung’s reach and influence in the connected space.
  • Partner with Corporate Marketing events teams to ensure internal showrooms, event booths, and event activations are properly supported to showcase Samsung connectivity features

Skills and Qualifications

· A Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years or Master’s Degree with 10+ years of brand creative, strategy, integrated marketing and brand partnership expertise and 3+ years of team management experience.

· Expert in brand marketing fundamentals (consumer/shopper, equity/products, go to market, creative operations, experiential, social/influencer, etc.).

· Creative mindset and track record of developing new ideas that engage and delight the consumer and shopper

· Understanding of IoT, connectivity technologies, and user experience design principles.

· Fluent in all aspects of brand strategy and end-to-end customer experience.

· Successfully led and helped execute major campaigns from conception to launch to optimization, analyzing results and providing insightful campaign analytics.

· Leadership skills to guide and influence diverse teams into a focused brand and marketing strategy.

· Business acumen and communication skills.

· Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder interests and coordinate cross-functional teams towards task completion.

· Demonstrated use of techniques and tools to coordinate and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to communicate with and present to team members at all levels.

· Highly adaptive and flexible, comfortable with ambiguity.

· Excellent situational awareness and emotional intelligence.
