We explore new technologies in a broad spectrum of areas ranging from emerging Non-Volatile Memory (Storage Class Memories), Low-Latency System designs, Interface protocols and standards, Device Drivers & OS components, Open Ecosystem & Platforms.\nRole and Responsibilities\nWe are seeking a Security Architect to define and drive the end-to-end security architecture for next-generation memory devices based on CXL (CMM-D) and future Processing-Near-Memory (PNM) capabilities. The role spans hardware, firmware and lifecycle security, including Root of Trust, secure boot, attestation, confidential computing enablement and runtime protection.\nThis is a senior individual contributor role with strong cross-functional impact across silicon, firmware, and platform teams.\nExperience - {8 - 14 } years of experience Firmware Development\nSkills Required\nArchitect device-level security framework for CXL memory products\n· Define hardware Root of Trust and chain of trust\n· Design secure boot, firmware integrity, and update mechanisms\n· Architect device identity, authentication, and attestation\n· Define key management, provisioning, and secure storage\n· Enable Confidential Computing support at the device level and distributed computing environments\n· Support CXL security capabilities including:\no Component Measurement & Authentication (CMA)\no CXL Confidential Computing / CCA participation\n· Perform threat modeling and risk analysis\n· Ensure protection for advanced features including PNM\n· Collaborate with HW, FW, and system teams to drive implementation\nRequired Skills & Experience\n· 8+ years in embedded/device security architecture\n· Experience with hardware-rooted security and firmware security, Knowledge of ARM architecture, trustzone, Hypervisor and security subsystem,Strong knowledge of cryptography and key management (Data at Rest and Data in Motion)\nExperience with secure provisioning and device lifecycle management,Android security features - Widevine DRM, Android Verified boot, Keymint, Gatekeeper, Storage encryption, Trusted UI, SELinux.\n· Experience working across hardware-firmware boundaries\n· Strong system design and architecture skills\n· Strong knowledge of Trusted Execution Environments, Trustlets and Kernel level security frameworks.\n Preferred / Highly Relevant Experience\n§ Experience with storage devices / SSD security frameworks (e.g., NVMe devices)\n§ Experience with PCIe device security or datacenter hardware\n§ Experience with CXL devices or memory subsystems (not mandatory)\n§ Experience with Caliptra, Trustzone or similar Root of Trust solutions\n§ Familiarity with CXL security features (CMA, CCA)\n§ Experience with Trusted Execution Environments (TEE)\n§ Knowledge of Confidential Computing architectures\n§ Familiarity with DICE, TCG, SPDM, NIST standards\n§ Experience with PUF, secure enclaves, or side-channel protections\nSkills and Qualifications\nQualifications\nB.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E\nDisclaimer\nSamsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR), a division of Samsung R&D India - Bangalore Pvt.
