At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, we are Innovating Today to Power the Devices of Tomorrow.\nCome innovate with us!\nPosition Summary\nSeeking a motivated engineer or data scientist interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class inspection and measurement equipment, implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implement solutions.Role and Responsibilities\nHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:\nManage FDC trend analysis for the department, utilizing statistics and data science \nMonitor the wafer fabrication equipment and respond to issues \nQualify new manufacturing equipment \nCoordinate the scheduling of equipment qualifications and equipment down time with manufacturing \nUse software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product. \nMake adjustments when equipment parameters are exceeded and monitors process parameters when tools return from maintenance. \nExecute in line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.\nCommunicate technical information within the department through presentations. \nContinuously revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nDevelop improved processes to increase capability.\nMonitor operations costs and develop cost reduction projects\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's What You'll Need:\nBS, MS, or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science\n2+ years semiconductor experience (Metrology equipment experience preferred)\nExperience Troubleshooting Equipment or Process failures\nExposure to Structure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc.)\nUnderstanding of statistical methods\nExperience scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language preferred\nExperience with Data Analysis software (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.) preferred\nGood Presentation and Technical Writing skills\nUnderstanding of Change Point Management, and of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles\nAbility to wear clean room suit and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per the SAS FAB protocol and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.\nEligible to work in the US without sponsorship\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.\nThis position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws.
