At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, we are Innovating Today to Power the Devices of Tomorrow.\nCome innovate with us!\nPosition Summary\nThe Photo Team at Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a process engineer interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implementing solutions.Role and Responsibilities\nHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:\nMonitoring the wafer fabrication process by responding to in-line issues and dispositions of production wafers.\nQualifying wafer fabrication processes on new tools.\nCoordinating the scheduling of process qualifications and equipment down time with manufacturing or equipment engineering.\nUsing software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product.\nMaking adjustments when process parameters are exceeded and monitors process parameters when tools return from maintenance.\nExecuting in line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.\nCommunicating technical information within the department through presentations.\nContinuously revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nDeveloping improved processes to increase capability.\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's what you'll need:\nBS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (3.0 GPA or better for new grads).\nExperience scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language.\nUnderstanding of statistical methods and Change Point Management.\nUnderstanding of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles.\nStructure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc.).\nExperience with Software Data Analysis software (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.).\nAbility to wear clean room suit and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ability to lift < 35 lbs as well as work in tight fitting, FAB environment and sit at a computer terminal, uses a computer for extended periods of time.\nVision - May be exposed to yellow lights, blinking lights and ability to discern audible alarms.\nPotential to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals.\nAbility to support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.\nTotal Rewards\nAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
