The team is determined to enter the Public Services domain in Europe with our market leading portfolio of products ranging from Device Clients, RAN, Core and MCPTX Application Services.\nThe IMS Core Engineers sit across the Support, Test and Delivery teams under the leadership of the respective Lead Delivery Manager and play a key role in SNEs mission as the team who lead the testing, performance, availability and support of our products, meeting customer expectations, contractual milestones and SLAs.\nBy joining us, you join a team of highly motivated technical specialists who are trusted to define and deliver our industy leading MCX solutions supported by a strong team of colleagues locally and in our Korean Headquarters.\nRole and Responsibilities\nYour key responsibilities\nYou will be a technical expert in IMS Core technologies with an analytical approach to troubleshooting, RCA investigation and e2e testing.\nProviding solution expertise and guidance for the MCX Core Test Strategy and Test Plans for all network elements and sw releases.\n\nDefine and execute Functional, Performance, Accessibility and Compatibility test plans.\n\nPerform accurate tracking of test progress within defined project timeline objectives.\n\nValidation of all supporting test cases, upgrade procedures, trouble-shooter guides and product documentation to facilitate consistent test execution.\n\nPerform deep dive analytics and fault investigations of feature and performance test cases to provide resolutions within SLAs\n\nPerform sw upgrades and regression on VNF based Core nodes on VMware architecture\n\nCreation and recording of test execution progress reports and performance logs.\n\nLifecycle management of trouble tickets to successful resolution, ensuring all information for R&D investigation is provided and recommendations implemented.\n\nTechnical support for integration to Samsung MCX nodes providing analysis, feedback or logs to 3rd parties for their solution development or integration.\n\nProvide continuous feedback and recommendations on training and development plans for self and other test engineers.\n\nWhat we need for this role\nTo be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:\nA comprehensive background knowledge in IMS Core network technologies, in particular IMS Voice/Video and Data features.\n\nExtensive expertise of IMS and VoLTE architecture, interfaces and protocols, ideally with hands on knowledge of testing Voice, Video and Data services when deployed on Commercial VoLTE networks\n\nExtensive knowledge of LTE (QCIs/5QI) testing tools: Wireshark tracing and system log analysis of SIP, RTP, RTCP, Diameter interactions, Load testing tools (IXIA, Viavi, Spirent), XCAL,XCAP,QXDM, Jira, HPQC, Logcat/Putty.\n\nSW lifecycle testing for VNF architecture deployments on VMware\n\nExpertise in e2e troubleshooting for LTE and TETRA networks and call flows.\n\nIn depth knowledge of 3GPP specifications and Mission Critical features.\n\nExcellent presentation and interpersonal skills with written and spoken English.\n\nAbility to maintain high standards or work and remain adaptable to changes in a dynamic working environment.\n\nYou have an Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecoms or a related field.\n\nAwareness of NIST, OWASP and UK TSR requirements and how they impact delivery and testing of secure networks\n\nWilling to support an on-call rota as required.\n\nAbility to work for extended periods at customer locations to support project activities\n\nWhat does success look like?\nHighly motivated and self driven to be an effective member of a small team of test experts.\n\nAbility to execute complex test activities to defined project and test plan milestones.\n\nCollaborate with PMO functions to deliver timely updates on project achievements and ensure any risks are categorised and resolved in the appropriate reports.\n\nDevelop strong and effective working relationship with customers and partners.\n\nBe the SME for in-depth technical investigation across E2E architectures for both LTE and TETRA networks.\n\nSkills and Qualifications\nBenefits of working at Samsung include\nBonus scheme linked to individual, team and company performance\n\nCar allowance\n\nPension contribution\n\nThree volunteering days each year\n\nHoliday - 25 days plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthday\n\nAccess to discounts on a wide range of Samsung products\n\nAccess to a discount shopping portal\n\nPartner Colleagues are not eligible for Samsung Enhanced Paid Sick Leave but may be eligible for statutory payments from their payroll agency\n\nUp to 20 (pro-rata) Partner Absence days per calendar year to be used in times of need\n\nA note on equal opportunities\nWeare an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our Company.
