The In/Out Room equipment fleet includes one of a kind automated packaging equipment and associated accessory equipment like heaters, and N2 pump systems, etc. The core job tasks include the identification of data sets that define equipment condition, organization of data trends to display the health of equipment via real-time dashboard, and creation of work processes and expectations to take action on fleet trends.You will be the contact when the tool goes down and is needing recovery of basic errors and part replacement. You will also work with vendors on escalations.\nRole and Responsibilities\nHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:\nEquipment Expertise\nUnderstand the core function of each piece of equipment type\nDemonstrate knowledge of design concepts across each equipment type\nLearn the common failure modes in each equipment type\nIdentify the roster of parameters each equipment is capable of measuring\nMaintenance and Procedure\nUnderstand the maintenance procedures for each equipment type\nLearn how team schedules maintenance on equipment\nEstablish expectations on maintenance procedures and define constraints for failure conditions\nFleet Health Visibility\nCompile data sets of equipment parameters and rank them by health based on value\nEvaluate parameter values using SPC methodologies and define spec limits\nBuild and modify dashboards that visualize the performance and health of equipment\nAutomate escalations of equipment issues based on spec limits\nCreate and enforce procedures that are used to address fleet health issues\nEngineering Reliability\nAnalyze equipment performance and derive improvement opportunities\nAuthor preventive maintenance schedules based on usage hours, manufacturer recommendations, and failure mode analyses\nPerform root cause investigations for abnormal equipment failures\nOrganize and lead projects that have clearly defined benefits and ROI\nDocumentation & Reporting\nProduce and maintain operating manuals, SOPs, and fleet records\nSubmit monthly KPI dashboards (pump uptime, mean time between failure)\nRecord all incident reports for audit purposes\nAdministrative\nLead and develop a team of 4 engineers across 4 CWW shifts, including performance evaluations, coaching, and development planning aligned with FAB goals and operational excellence standards\nActively foster an inclusive, accountable team environment by identifying development opportunities, recognizing performance, and empowering personnel to grow within their roles and advance within the organization\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's What You'll Need:\nBachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering\n3+ years of hands-on experience with sub-fab systems in semiconductor industry\nExperience in other manufacturing environments with large quantities of equipment\nProficiency in data/statistical analytics\nExperience with mechanical repair of equipment\nKnowledge of common industrial sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, etc.)\nProficiency with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) concepts and how to implement them in industry.\nTotal Rewards\nAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
