At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, we are Innovating Today to Power the Devices of Tomorrow.\nCome innovate with us!\nPosition Summary\nSamsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Process Engineer interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implementing solutions.Role and Responsibilities\nHere's what you'll be responsible for:\nMonitoring the wafer fabrication process by responding to in-line issues and dispositions of production wafers\n\nQualifying wafer fabrication processes on new tools.\n\nCoordinating the scheduling of process qualifications and equipment down time with manufacturing or equipment engineering.\n\nUsing software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product.\n\nMaking adjustments when process parameters are exceeded and monitors process parameters when tools return from maintenance.\n\nExecuting in line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.\n\nCommunicating technical information within the department through presentations.\n\nContinuously revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\n\nDeveloping improved processes to increase capability.\n\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's what you'll need:\nBS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (3.0 GPA for new grads)\nExperience Scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language\nUnderstanding of statistical methods and Change Point Management\nUnderstanding of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles and Structure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc..)\nExperience with Software Data Analysis tools (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.)\nExperience Troubleshooting Equipment or Process failures\nAbility to wear clean room suit and Personal Protective Equipment,\nAbility to lift < 35 lbs and work in tight fitting, FAB environment sitting at a computer terminal for extended periods of time\nAbility to be exposed to yellow lights, blinking lights and to discern audible alarms\nAbility to potentially to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals\n\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $76,000.00 - $120,000.00 Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.
