We are seeking a strategic problem-solver who can balance high-level architectural planning with deep technical execution, including writing custom automation tools and managing large-scale containerized applications. As a key member of Data Intelligence, you will work across functional boundaries and respond to complex system incidents to maintain seamless operations in a high-stakes manufacturing environment.\nRole and Responsibilities\nHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:\nDesign, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in both on-premises and cloud environments.\nDevelop and implement Kubernetes best practices for managing containerized applications.\nCollaborate with the DevOps team to automate the deployment and scaling of applications using Kubernetes.\nMonitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and performance.\nWork with developers to optimize application performance in Kubernetes environments.\nImplement security measures and best practices to protect Kubernetes infrastructure and applications.\nConduct regular performance testing and capacity planning to ensure scalability of Kubernetes infrastructure.\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's what you'll need:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\n\nSolid experience in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.\n\nStrong understanding of containerization concepts and technologies (Docker, container runtimes, etc.).\n\nProficiency in deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts.\n\nExperience with Kubernetes offerings.\n\nKnowledge of networking concepts and experience configuring Kubernetes networking (Service Mesh, Load Balancers, Ingress Controllers, etc.).\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) for building and deploying containerized applications.\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in Kubernetes environments.\n\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.\nTotal Rewards\nAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
