The successful candidate will act as a key liaison, collaborating seamlessly with internal teams, Korea HQ, external customers, and the Fab to ensure a smooth transition from NTI/NPI to mass production. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this individual will drive all phases of reliability engineering for advanced CMOS technology nodes.Role and Responsibilities\nHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:\nProvide technical leadership to direct a team for reliability improvement activities.\nIdentify, plan, and execute reliability evaluations for NTI/NPI, technology qualification, process changes and abnormal events. Identify concerning items for product reliability and drive improvement actions with both local and overseas operations.\nManage solutions to integration problems working across several departments (Fab, PIE, Device, Product Test, etc) to improve reliability.\nDesign, execute, and analyze designed experiments to improve semiconductor fabrication processes.\nUtilize lessons learned to improve reliability margin; define new process integration for new technology nodes.\nUtilize statistical tools and reliability models to extract lifetime from time to fail data.\nRepresent Samsung technology leadership by authoring papers for symposiums & journals and leadership roles at external conferences.\nNavigate both the industrial and academic landscape in order to be a knowledge center of device integration and technology development for reliability.\nPlus for strong understanding of Semiconductor BEOL Reliability Degradation Mechanisms.\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's What You'll Need:\nMS, PhD in Engineering (preferred Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering) \n10+ years of related experience in Semiconductor reliability engineering\nHands-on experience in Reliability Degradation Mechanisms in BEOL WLR (BEOL TDDB, EM, SM, TC) and maybe in FEOL WLR, as well\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $131,000 - $174,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.\nThis position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws.
