This role also provides mentorship to junior analysts, fostering technical growth and consistency across the team.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nCreate innovative automation concepts that meet customer requirements while adhering to company standards and client specifications. Provide strategic input to ensure solutions align with business objectives.\nCreate supporting AutoCAD drawings and operational descriptions in support of the automation concepts developed\nOversee the work of junior team members, conduct peer reviews, and provide mentorship to support technical growth and consistency. \nDevelop cost estimates for the automation concepts developed\nApprove concepts, cost estimates and proposals for management review readiness and ensure compliance with company standards and policies.\nInterface directly with customers to gather technical details and clarify requirements. Communicate concept details effectively to Sales Representatives, Management, Customers, and Project teams.\nProduce turnkey detailed proposals for Projects.\nDemonstrate innovation, efficiency, autonomy and accuracy in managing that part of the quoting process for which he/she is responsible\nResearch new products and technologies, liaise with suppliers for technical and cost information, and integrate findings into concept development.\nProvide input to performance reviews for team members\nStore quote-related data (specifications, quotes, estimates, drawings etc.) according to Samuel standards\nPosition Requirements:\nCollaborate with Sales to define a Win Strategy\nAbility to develop innovative technical concepts and proposals aligned with the Win Strategy\nExcellent Presentation skills\nSound technical knowledge over a broad range of technology and applications\nSome knowledge of control systems and software\nProficiency using 2D and 3D AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create conceptual layout drawings and, as required, 3D machine or tooling imagery\nMeticulous attention to detail\nGood written and verbal communication skills in the English language\nAbility to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines\nAutonomy and Authority\nWorks independently within established guidelines and standards; escalates complex or unusual issues to senior authority. \nReview more junior analyst’s work for completeness and technical soundness. \nResponsible for creating and detailing automation projects; work reviewed for completeness and technical soundness.\nEducation, Experience, and Qualifications:\nCollege or University degree in engineering or related discipline\nA minimum of 7 years’ automation industry experience\nExperience in machine design is a definite asset\nAbility to run simulation software is an asset\nValid Passport and driver’s license may be required, as well as the ability to travel to customer sites both locally and internationally\nSpecial Requirements:\nFrequent presence on the shop floor and in engineering areas.\nOccasional travel to customer sites, vendors, or other company locations.\nComfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment with competing priorities.\nThe expected compensation range for this position is $53.96-$74.20. This range includes base pay and target variable pay. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices.
