Your specialties may include pneumatics, fluid dispensing systems, vibratory feeders, lasers, vision systems and motion systems.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nCreate custom automated equipment designs to contract specifications and applicable design standards while meeting material budget requirement\nPerform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs.\nAnalyzes drawings, and specifications to determine shape, dimensions, hardness etc. in the development of equipment, processes and products.\nExamine feasibility of using one or more machines to carry out sequential operations.\nProvide technical direction and support to Machine Builders and Technicians throughout the debugging phase\nMentor junior designers\nWork with engineering and project managers to report status, raise issues, and assist where able.\nParticipates in regular project status updates with project team and customers\nYou’ll Be Great At\nSolving practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists\nEffectively presenting information to Samuel Automation employees and customers\nWorking at advanced levels of design complexity \nProficiently able to use SolidWorks and current office computer software\nCreatively visualizing in 3 dimensions, have a solid mechanical aptitude and thrive in an agile environment\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language\nLevel of Autonomy and Authority\nWorks without detailed supervision, but within clear guidelines, defined standards and specifications.
