Collaborate with Sales and Operations to prepare CAD drawings, cost details, supporting documentation and customer presentations to secure projects.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nDesign automation concepts integrating AMR and related material handling systems in compliance with company and client standards.\nCreate supporting AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings, including layouts for AMR navigation paths and docking stations.\nDevelop detailed cost estimates for AMR-based solutions.\nInterface with customers to gather technical details and clarify requirements for mobile robotics and automation.\nCommunicate concept details to Sales, Management, Customers, and Project teams.\nProduce turnkey proposals for projects involving AMR systems.\nResearch emerging AMR technologies and collaborate with suppliers for technical and cost data.\nMaintain quote-related data (specifications, estimates, drawings) according to company standards.\nEnsure compliance with Health & Safety and company policies during concept development.\nPosition Requirements:\nAbility to develop innovative technical concepts for mobile robotics and automated material handling. \nStrong knowledge of AMR or AGV-related technologies\nFamiliarity with fleet management software and integration with automation systems.\nProficiency in 2D/3D AutoCAD and SolidWorks for conceptual layouts and 3D modeling. \nSome understanding of control systems, PLCs, and communication protocols used in AMR environments. \nExcellent presentation and communication skills. \nAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.\nAutonomy and Authority\nWorks independently within established guidelines and standards; escalates complex or unusual issues to senior authority. \nResponsible for creating and detailing turnkey AMR projects; work reviewed for completeness and technical soundness.\nEducation, Experience, and Qualifications:\nPost-secondary education in engineering or related discipline.\nCollege or University degree in Engineering or related discipline. \nMinimum 3 years of experience in automation, 1 years of exposure to AMR technology. \nExperience in machine design and material handling automation is an asset. \nFamiliarity with simulation tools for AMR traffic and workflow optimization.\nSpecial Requirements:\nFrequent presence on the shop floor and in engineering areas.\nOccasional travel to customer sites, vendors, or other company locations.\nComfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment with competing priorities\nThe expected compensation range for this position is $.42.58-$58.75. This range includes base pay and target variable pay. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices.
