and coordinate the daily activities of receiving personnel to meet company operational goals and customer requirements.\nProvide leadership, direction, coaching, and performance management to receiving employees.\nAssign daily workload and prioritize receiving activities based on production and operational requirements.\nEnsure employees perform their duties in a safe manner and in compliance with company safety policies and applicable OSHA regulations.\nConduct and/or support employee training, onboarding, and development activities.\nApprove weekly hourly payroll, including Kronos hours and applicable timesheet requirements.\nManage the safe unloading and receipt of incoming trucks and deliveries.\nVerify incoming materials and products against purchase orders, packing slips, and applicable receiving documentation.\nReceive and sign for deliveries in accordance with company procedures.\nInspect incoming materials for quantity, identification, packaging, and apparent damage or discrepancies.\nEnsure accurate receiving transactions are completed in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or the applicable company ERP system.\nEnsure accurate recording of received quantities, material identification, and applicable lot, heat, batch, or other traceability information.\nSupport the receiving and control of aluminum raw materials, billets, ingot, alloying materials, scrap, production supplies, and other materials used in manufacturing and foundry operations.\nEnsure materials are properly identified, labeled, segregated, and stored in designated locations.\nMaintain appropriate material traceability and ensure materials are properly accounted for throughout the receiving process.\nIdentify and escalate material discrepancies, damaged materials, quantity variances, and potential nonconforming material to the appropriate departments.\nCoordinate with Purchasing regarding supplier delivery issues, shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, and other receiving concerns.\nCoordinate with Quality, Planning, Production, and Foundry personnel regarding material availability and receiving issues.\nEnsure received materials are delivered or made available to the appropriate department or designated storage location.\nMaintain an organized, clean, and safe receiving area, including proper material placement and accountability.\nMonitor inventory and receiving-related discrepancies and assist with resolution as needed.\nMonitor receiving performance and productivity to drive operational excellence, service, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement.\nTrack and manage receiving-related performance metrics, including receiving accuracy, transaction accuracy, material discrepancies, dock-to-stock performance, and receiving productivity.\nDevelop, implement, and update receiving processes and procedures as necessary.\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement and support process improvement initiatives.\nEnsure proper operation and timely reporting of equipment issues and facility concerns.\nOperate material handling equipment, including forklifts, as required.\nMaintain accurate records of receiving activities, delivery information, discrepancies, and other applicable documentation.\nCommunicate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and other stakeholders.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation \nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nQualifications\n5+ years of receiving, warehouse, logistics, material control, or related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nPrevious lead or supervisory experience preferred.\nExperience working in an aluminum, metal, foundry, or other industrial manufacturing environment preferred.\nExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another ERP system preferred.\nStrong understanding of receiving, inventory control, and material handling processes.\nDemonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate employees.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with Purchasing, Planning, Quality, Production, Foundry, and other cross-functional teams.\nAbility to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and other business or operational documents.\nAbility to understand and manage operational KPIs and performance metrics.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to inventory and receiving accuracy.\nAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAbility to handle stressful situations and resolve issues diplomatically.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nIntermediate computer skills required.\nBasic math skills required.\nForklift experience required.\nAbility to lift at least 50 pounds.\nBilingual English/Spanish is a plus.\nKey Performance Areas\nThe Receiving Supervisor is receiving areas, production areas, and material storage locations may be required.\nRegularly involves standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting.\nMay require working around moving equipment, forklifts, trucks, and industrial machinery.\nAbility to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.\nRequires the use of standard office equipment and computer systems.\nMust be able to follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. If you are hired, your annual base pay will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
