This role works towards a Level 6 BSc Hons degree in Quantity Surveying, RICS or CIOB accredited pathway.\nThroughout the programme, you will work alongside experienced professionals within our Commercial team, developing the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for a successful career in quantity surveying and commercial management. You will receive high-quality training and support, helping you maximise your potential while earning a salary.\nWhat will you do?\nWorking within the Commercial team, you will gain practical experience across a range of quantity surveying and commercial activities that support the successful delivery of construction, maintenance, and asset investment projects.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nAssisting with cost planning and budgeting activities.\nSupporting the preparation of valuations, financial reports, and project cost forecasts.\nMonitoring project expenditure and helping to ensure value for money.\nAssisting with procurement processes and contractor management.\nSupporting the administration of contracts and project documentation.\nDeveloping an understanding of commercial risk management and cost control.\nWorking with colleagues and stakeholders to support project delivery.\nApplying health and safety requirements within a construction environment.\nWhat skills and abilities do I need?\nWe are looking for candidates who demonstrate our values of Ambition, Inclusion, Integrity, Quality, and Sustainability, alongside enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn.\nIn addition, you will need:\nA minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English.\nA strong interest in construction, quantity surveying, and the commercial aspects of project delivery.\nGood analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.\nProblem-solving abilities and the confidence to work with data and financial information.\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\nGood organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.\nA full valid UK driving licence or be working towards obtaining one.\nWhy work for us?\nSanctuary Property Services provides in-house repairs, maintenance, and investment services across a large and diverse property portfolio.\nAs part of a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to delivering excellent outcomes for our customers through collaboration, innovation, and first-class customer service.
