For us, it’s not just where people live - it’s how they live.\nOur vision is to bring Sanctuary to major cities around the world: healthy, sovereign communities that sit on the edges of every modern metropolis.\nAbout the role\nWe are hiring a Sourcing, Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to find, buy, and move the building materials that go into our homes. You will source construction materials from manufacturers and suppliers overseas, manage purchasing, and make sure everything reaches our project sites in Texas on time, on budget, and to spec.\nThis role sits at the center of how we build. Many of our materials are chosen for health and sustainability - non-toxic finishes, clean water systems, low-EMF components - so you will be checking more than price and lead time. You will work closely with our architects, construction team, and finance team to turn material specifications into confirmed orders and delivered shipments.\nThis is not a role for someone who needs a fixed process handed to them. We are a fast-moving startup, and you will often be the one building the vendor list, the tracker, and the shipping plan from scratch. We are looking for someone highly resourceful who can chase down missing information, negotiate with confidence, and flag risks early before they turn into site delays.\nWhat you’ll do\nSourcing and vendor management\nIdentify, evaluate, and shortlist manufacturers and suppliers for construction and building materials, primarily overseas\n\nRequest and compare quotations, samples, and technical data sheets against our design and material specifications\n\nBuild and maintain an approved vendor list with pricing, lead times, certifications, and performance notes\n\nNegotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery commitments with suppliers\n\nProcurement and purchasing\nTranslate material schedules and specifications from the architecture and construction teams into purchase orders\n\nTrack every order from quotation to delivery, and keep the team updated on status and risks\n\nWork with the finance team on budgets, payments, and cost tracking for each project\n\nLogistics and supply chain\nCoordinate international shipping from suppliers to our project sites in Texas, working with freight forwarders and customs brokers\n\nManage export and import documentation, shipping schedules, and delivery timelines\n\nPlan orders around construction schedules so materials arrive when the site needs them\n\nQuality and compliance\nVerify that materials meet our health, sustainability, and quality standards before they ship\n\nArrange pre-shipment inspections and resolve quality issues with suppliers\n\nMake sure materials meet U.S. building code and certification requirements where applicable\n\nProcess building\nSet up simple, reliable trackers and workflows for sourcing, orders, and shipments\n\nFind opportunities to reduce costs and lead times as we scale to more projects\n\nWhat you bring\n3-6 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, ideally for construction or building materials\n\nHands-on experience with international or export sourcing, including working with overseas suppliers\n\nWorking knowledge of export and import documentation, freight forwarding, and customs processes\n\nStrong negotiation skills and comfort managing multiple vendors at once\n\nAbility to read material specifications and technical data sheets, and ask the right questions about them\n\nStrong Excel or Google Sheets skills for tracking orders, costs, and timelines\n\nExperience sourcing for U.S. projects, or knowledge of U.S. building codes and certifications, is a strong plus\n\nComfortable working with high autonomy in a fast-moving, remote, cross-cultural team\n\nClear, proactive communicator in English, both written and spoken since you’ll do outreach and coordination with international consultants/vendors\n\nHiring process\nStage 1: Intro interview -
