We’re committed to quality, innovation, and providing a clean, well-organized workplace where skilled team members can thrive.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team.\nPosition Overview\nThe Engineering Manager leads the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, ensuring they are capable, controlled, documented, and optimized. This plant leadership role reports to the Production Unit Manager and owns production prints, drawings, CNC and manufacturing programs, process specifications, parameters, tooling concepts, and manufacturing methods. While not responsible for daily production execution, the Engineering Manager provides technical leadership for critical process issues and partners with Production, Maintenance, and Technology to develop sustainable future-state manufacturing solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nMain Duties & Responsibilities\nOwn the technical definition and integrity of manufacturing processes, including production prints, drawings, CNC and manufacturing programs, process specifications, parameters, tooling concepts, and manufacturing methods. \nEstablish engineering standards, maintain accurate technical documentation, and implement engineering change-control practices. \nLead systematic process improvements to cycle time, capability, productivity, quality, yield, material utilization, manufacturing costs, and capacity. \nUse manufacturing data to identify losses and constraints, lead technical root-cause analysis, and standardize sustainable solutions across applicable processes and equipment. \nSet priorities for manufacturing engineering resources and provide technical direction to engineering personnel. \nSupport new product and process development and industrialization; ensure tooling, documentation, programs, and technical resources are ready for production requirements and customer demand. \nEvaluate tooling, manufacturing methods, equipment capabilities, process constraints, staffing requirements, and future manufacturing needs to support capacity planning. \nPartner with Quality to establish process controls, validation requirements, capability targets, and corrective actions. \nCollaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Technology on future-state manufacturing concepts and the site’s manufacturing process and technology roadmap. \nEvaluate process redesign, automation, equipment modernization, and new manufacturing methods to meet longer-term business needs. \nDevelop technical requirements and investment justifications; support equipment selection and lead or support engineering elements of capital projects. \nCoordinate engineering resources for installation, qualification, and process validation; ensure new equipment, processes, and technologies meet technical requirements before routine production. \nLead, coach, and develop the Engineering team with clear priorities, responsibilities, and performance expectations. \nBuild technical capability through knowledge sharing, employee development, and identification of skill gaps; foster technical ownership, disciplined problem solving, empowerment, and continuous improvement. \nCommunicate goals, priorities, and change clearly; listen to employees, recognize contributions, and provide constructive feedback. \nSafety & Compliance\nTranslate future safety and capability requirements into technical manufacturing solutions. \nEnsure manufacturing processes are documented, standardized, and controlled in accordance with approved engineering methods. \nEnsure new processes and technologies are technically validated before routine production. \nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. \nManufacturing engineering experience in machining, tooling, precision manufacturing, or a comparable environment preferred. \n3+ years of engineering leadership, supervisory, or technical team leadership experience required. \nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, CNC technology, technical drawings, programming, process controls, and manufacturing documentation. \nDemonstrated structured problem-solving and analytical capability. \nExperience with process development, industrialization, equipment implementation, automation, or capital projects preferred. \nStrong communication and cross-functional leadership skills. \nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive pay based on experience \nHealth, dental, and vision benefits \nPaid time off and holidays \nGender Neutral Paid Parental Leave - 14 weeks at 90% of wage \nRetirement plan options - 5% employer contribution plus a 3% employer match on 6% employee contribution \nOpportunities for skill development and internal advancement \nSupportive team environment \nSeco Tools, a subsidiary of Sandvik is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
