In this role, you will support the Finance team, primarily with Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, account reconciliation, payment preparation, month-end activities, financial reporting, and other day-to-day finance functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with Sandvik processes and policies.\nDo you have strong attention to detail and an interest in supporting finance and Accounts Payable activities? So now we challenge you to take it one step further and apply!\nWhat you will be doing\nProcess vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding, with a focus on prepayments, utilities, and consumables.\nMatch purchase orders and receipts to invoices.\nReconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues.\nPrepare weekly payment runs (cheques, ACH, and wire transfers) as a backup.\nPerform monthly reconciliation of the Accounts Payable subledger to the General Ledger.\nAssist with accruals and ensure completeness of month-end entries.\nSupport the Accounting Manager in preparing month-end reports.\nMonitor open purchase orders and ensure timely closure of completed orders.\nRespond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.\nCollaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.\nAssist during peak workload periods and provide general support to the Finance team.\nEnsure transaction entry and verification procedures are followed.\nSupport Sandvik business and External Service Center in relation to escalated invoice mismatches.\nEnvironmental Health and Safety\nWe are ethical and compliant, dedicated to health, safety, and sustainability.
