As a Fire Suppression Technician you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and diagnosing fire suppression systems on mining equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. You will also provide technical support while maintaining accurate documentation to uphold compliance and quality standards. Based from Bendigo, you will also travel to sites across the state and into NSW as required to support local contracts.\nThis position operates on a 9-day fortnight roster with and additional premiums for weekend and remote travel. To support your development, Sandvik provides green and gold card certification training, equipping you with the skills needed to excel in the role. \nRoster: 9-day Fortnight (5/2 and 4/3 each fortnight - 9.5 hour days)\nResponsibilities:\nPerform fault diagnosis, maintain, and install Fire Suppression systems \nIdentify faults in the electrical and mechanical configuration of various mobile suppression systems \nMaintain inspection test reports and documentation \nSupport technicians from other regions and assist in training \nAdhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies \nWork effectively either in a team environment or autonomously \nAssist with machine audits/inspections \nAbout you\nAccreditation by the Fire Protection Association (FPA) (desirable) \nValid Driver’s License (compulsory) \nHighly motivated with prior trade experience is a must \nService experience of Mobile Fire Suppression systems will be a distinct advantage \nStrong customer service and communication skills \nFlexible to work with customer requirements, procedures, and safety policies \nPositive attitude and a high level of determination to achieve targets set for customer satisfaction \nAbility to complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test\nHigh attention to detail \nSafety focussed \nAgencies need not apply.\nTo be eligible for this role, you must have the right to live and work in Australia.
