The product offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.\nThe Inbound Operations Manager oversees all Inbound Operations activities within a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) facility, ensuring materials and products are received, verified, processed, and put away, safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable FTZ requirements. Reporting directly to the Hub Manager, this role provides leadership to supervisors and frontline employees while driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, compliance, and service.\nThe Inbound Operations Manager oversees all inbound processes utilizing Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) and works closely with Inventory Control, Outbound Operations, Trade Compliance, EHS, HR, and other operational teams to ensure effective material flow and operational performance. The Inbound Operations Manager implements and monitors operational changes, fosters a culture of accountability and empowerment, and develops problem-solving capabilities across the team. This role partners with leadership across the facility to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and promote a high-performance, collaborative work environment.\nMain Responsibilities\nOperational\nDevelop, maintain and ensure compliance of all Sandvik policies, SOPs, safety, and environmental practices\nOversee all inbound operations across all shifts, including receiving, unloading, verification, staging, put away of materials\nOptimize/improve operational efficiency and performance - Operational cost control, KPI, SOP\nLead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or technology within the inbound operations team.\nMonitor inbound volume, workload, staffing, and equipment and adjust resources based on operational needs\nCoordinate with other departments, including inbound, inventory control, and transportation, to resolve operational challenges and optimize end-to-end workflow.\nPerform all functions within warehouse operations\nSupport in the execution of continuous improvement projects\nOther duties as assigned due to business needs\nPeople\nDevelop, mentor, and coach team members and leadership across all shifts to build strong operational capabilities and a high-performance culture by cross training and on-the-job training.\nPromote employee engagement, empowerment, and problem-solving at all levels of the inbound team.\nFoster a safe, inclusive, and compliant work environment, engaging regularly with employees to address concerns and reinforce expectations.\nOversee performance management, including evaluations, feedback, and development plans, ensuring accountability and growth across the team.\nLead communication of organization’s goals, priorities, and professional standards through regular pre-shift and ad hoc meetings.\n\nSafety and Compliance\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company safety requirements and applicable regulations\nEnsure compliance with company safety policies, practices and regulatory requirements\nParticipate in incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions\nConduct regular operational observations to identify and address unsafe conditions or behaviors\nLeadership\nServe as the senior leader for all inbound operations, reporting directly to the Hub Manager.\nModel company values and operational excellence, holding peers, managers, and employees accountable for performance and compliance.\nDrive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration across the inbound team and broader facility.\nLead cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects that impact multiple shifts or departments, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.\nCommunication and Change Leadership\nLead consistent communication regarding operational priorities, performance, changes, risks, and expectations.\nCommunicate effectively from the warehouse floor through senior leadership.\nTranslate strategy into clear expectations employees can understand and execute.\nActively participate in leadership meetings and contribute operational insight and recommendations.\nLead teams through organizational, technological, and process changes.\nBuild support for change by explaining both what is changing and why it is necessary.\nDemonstrate flexibility and willingness to challenge historical processes.\nCreate alignment across functions when operational priorities or responsibilities overlap.\nDesired Traits & Skills\nExperience with WMS; Blue Yonder a plus\nExperience with SAP a plus\nExperience managing a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)\nExperience with Power BI\nProficiency in MS Office is required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to concisely explain technical and complex concepts.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to quickly adapt as business needs change.\nAbility to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.\nCustomer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.\nAbility to work off-shift as required to respond to urgent needs.\nYour Profile\nCollege degree with an emphasis in distribution, warehouse, logistics, retail, or transportation. Some college plus equivalent work experience may be accepted. Preferably in the warehouse, manufacturing, or transportation industry\n3-5 years of warehouse experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment\n3-5 years of supervisory experience and inventory control experience in a manufacturing or distribution site\nProven ability to develop and lead team members in meeting goals and objectives\nStrong attention to detail, extremely well-organized and are highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. \nProactive and results-oriented demeanor\nStrong customer focus, to provide a superior customer service to both internal and external customers.\nThorough knowledge of OSHA regulations\nKnowledge of asset management procedures, and information used to optimize inventory levels and/or fill rates\nProven experience in quality and safety\nStrong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and follow-through skills\nMaintain forklift certification\nAvailability to travel, as needed\nBenefits\nSandvik offers a comprehensive total compensation package including a competitive package of health, dental and disability insurance, and a 401(k)retirement savings plan.
