This role involves both mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repair activities while working safely and efficiently to meet customer and operational requirements.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nPerform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on Sandvik equipment and components.\nInspect equipment to identify faults, malfunctions, and required repairs.\nRepair or replace defective components and systems according to established procedures and work scopes.\nIdentify additional repair requirements and provide parts and labour estimates to supervisors.\nTest repaired equipment to verify operational performance and quality standards.\nComplete accurate service reports, failure analyses, parts documentation, and time records.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within the workshop.\nStay current on product updates, technical developments, and industry trends.\nSupport and mentor apprentices and less experienced technicians.\nSafety Comes First\nAt Sandvik, health and safety are foundational to everything we do. Complete a risk assessment (Take 5) before each task.\nMaintain hand tools and equipment to support safe operation.\nMaintain an orderly work area and meet housekeeping requirements.\nAttend required environmental, health, and safety training.\nWear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required for each task.\nWhat You Will Bring Along\nTechnical (Mechanical) diploma or equivalent trade-related education.\nValid Red Seal certification.\nThree to five years of related mechanical experience.\nExperience with mining equipment, heavy equipment, truck and coach, or automotive systems.\nPrevious experience with Sandvik equipment is considered an asset.\nAbility to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics.\nStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.\nSelf-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.\nComputer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.\nOur Culture\nOur core values are the soul of the company.
