Buffalo Tungsten is part of Sandvik group and organizationally belongs to the Powder Solutions division within the business area Sandvik Machining.\nSupervise production operations to ensure maximum output in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Coordinate work assignments with production planners to secure output, maintain quality and efficiency, and deliver on established goals and KPIs. Drive the ‘Safety First’ culture by ensuring all established safety policies and procedures is as followed.\nTHIS IS A FULLY ONSITE 3RD SHIFT ROLE FROM 12:00AM-8:30AM SUNDAY NIGHTS TO FRIDAY MORNINGS.\nMain Responsibilities:\nAlways adheres to established safety policies and procedures\n\nMaintain safe, clean, and organized working environment by educating and directing staff\n\nModel effective leadership, teamwork, and collaboration in a fair and transparent way\n\nComplete production plan by scheduling and assigning staff, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, implementing corrective action when needed, and reporting results to various stakeholders on shift production summaries\n\nEstablish and enforce production standards to support established goals and KPIs\n\nEnsure that accurate production records are documented and archived\n\nFacilitate communication and coordination between shifts and departments\n\nMotivate employees and hold them accountable to established goals and KPIs\n\nManage employee performance through progressive discipline processes\n\nUnderstand and communicate employee needs to management\n\nUnderstand and communicate company requirements to employees\n\nReview time and attendance records for accuracy and approve payroll on a weekly basis\n\nRecruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop new and existing employees\n\nSchedule regular Production meetings to review production & safety procedures with staff\n\nConduct employee performance evaluations\n\nRequired Competencies:\nSafety-First mindset\n\nExcellent organizational and leadership abilities\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, Team-player\n\nProven problem-solver with strong decision making capabilities\n\nAttention to detail\n\nAbility to read and interpret production control systems and instrumentation\n\nSelf-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment\n\nStrong computer skills in office technology (Excel, Word, Teams, Powerpoint)\n\nEducation/Experience/ Language\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nMinimum 3-5 years’ relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment\n\nMinimum 1-2 years’ prior supervisory experience\n\nMust be able to read, write and speak English fluently\n\nMust be flexible to support occasional special projects and situations\n\nMust be available on call to handle staffing issues with shift changeovers\n\n(Why You’ll Love It Here) What's In It for You (and Why You'll Love It Here\nAt Sandvik, we believe in more than just the work you do-we care about your growth, well-being, and overall experience.
