Combining engineering expertise with strong analytical skills, you support informed design decisions, reducing the need for physical prototypes, and speeding up development cycles. Working closely with product developers, researchers, and technical specialists, you contribute to efficient processes, deeper product understanding, and high-performing solutions.\nJob responsibilities\nApply simulation and virtual engineering methods to evaluate, compare and optimize product concepts and designs.\nSupport product development projects with simulation-based analyses, insights, and recommendations.\nCollaborate with product developers, researchers, and technical specialists to solve engineering challenges and improve product performance.\nInterpret results and communicate clear conclusions to project teams, stakeholders, and decision-makers.\nDevelop and validate simulation methodologies, workflows, and best practices.\nCapture and share knowledge that strengthens simulation-driven product development across the organization.\nLocation\nThis position is based in Sandviken. Some business travel may be required.\nYour profile\nYou have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and use simulation to understand, predict, and improve product performance. Your experience may come from industrial product development, engineering consulting, or a research environment. You’re motivated by combining engineering expertise, simulation tools, and analytical thinking to solve real-world engineering challenges.\nYour background includes:\nAn M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Applied Mechanics or a related field.\nSolid experience with finite element analysis, FEA, and engineering simulation tools.\nA strong understanding of solid mechanics and structural behavior.\nExperience supporting product development through engineering analyses and translating results into actionable design recommendations.\nExperience with scientific programming, data analysis, or scripting using Python, AI or similar tools. \nFluency in English, while knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.\nCuriosity and collaboration shape the way you work. You’re proactive, solution-focused, and comfortable taking initiative, while your clear communication helps colleagues from different disciplines turn data and analysis into better engineering decisions.
