Join our team in Alachua, Florida as a Rotary Head Technician, where you’ll help build the high-precision rotary head gearboxes used in drilling rigs relied on throughout the mining industry.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPrecision Assembly: Build Rotary Head gearboxes using specialized tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.\n\nHeating & Pressing Components: Utilize controlled heating and pressing techniques to install gears, bearings, and shafts, ensuring proper fit and alignment.\n\nFit Tolerances: Apply knowledge of slip fit and press fit tolerances during assembly to achieve precise mechanical performance.\n\nInterpret Technical Documentation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate assembly and troubleshooting.\n\nQuality Control: Perform rigorous inspections and measurements to maintain tight tolerances and verify component integrity throughout the assembly process.\n\nProblem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during assembly and testing phases with minimal supervision.\n\nContinuous Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify process improvements and implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.\n\nTool & Equipment Maintenance: Properly maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure consistent performance.\n\nCompliance: Adhere to all safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.\n\nWhat you Bring\nAbility to work in the U.S. on an indefinite basis without sponsorship\n\nProven experience in precision assembly of gearboxes, transmissions, or similar mechanical systems.\n\nStrong knowledge of mechanical principles, tolerances, and quality assurance practices.\n\nStrong background in heating/freezing components to be press-fit together.\n\nAbility to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).\n\nProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\nAt least 3+ year experience in a manufacturing environment.\n\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n\nPositive attitude, strong attendance, and willingness and ability to work overtime.\n\nPhysical & Safety Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday\n\nFrequently lift and move items over 50 lbs\n\nMust wear required PPE and successfully complete fit-for-work assessments (audiogram, lift test, physical exam)\n\nComfortable working in a loud, fast-paced manufacturing environment\n\nWhy Join Us?\nStarting Pay Range: $25 - 30/hour based on experience + bonus opportunity.\n\nBenefits: Health, dental, vision, disability, and 401(k) with up to 8% company contribution\n\nParental Leave: Up to 14 weeks\n\nTraining & Development: Opportunities for skills growth and career advancement\n\nWork Environment: A collaborative, safety-focused, and supportive culture that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement\n\nApply Today\nIf you’re the kind of person who takes pride in precise, hands-on work, we want to hear from you.
