You’re the main escalation point for operational purchasing issues. You report to the Head of Procurement, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Category Lead for day-to-day activities.\nJob responsibilities\nSupport category strategies and supplier management activities, resolving supply, quality, delivery and commercial issues.\nPrepare, issue and evaluate RFQs, analyzing quotations and recommending sourcing options based on cost, quality, lead time, and risk.\nContribute to supplier negotiations with a focus on best-value total cost of ownership.\nManage procurement activities for new product development, coordinating sample-part orders and project timelines with Operational Buyers.\nLead cost-saving and value-engineering initiatives, track results, and identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and process improvement.\nMaintain accurate supplier pricing and commercial data in the ERP system.\nLocation and flexibility\nThis position is flexible within Sweden.\nYour profile\nWith proven purchasing, procurement, or sourcing experience, you understand how to balance commercial priorities with quality, delivery, and supply requirements. Strong analytical capabilities help you evaluate options, solve problems, and manage several priorities effectively. You’re collaborative, solutions-focused, and communicate clearly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.\nYour background includes:\nExperience managing RFQs and supplier negotiations.\nA strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.\nExperience working with ERP or MRP systems.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nA relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification; significant relevant procurement and sourcing experience may be considered instead.\nFluency in English, verbally and in writing. \nExperience from a manufacturing or engineering environment, exposure to NPD or NPI projects, and knowledge of category management principles are advantageous.\nOur culture\nAt Sandvik, we’re tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial.
