- Support and engage with Mastercam’s global third-party developer community.
- Build and evolve the integration layer between the C++ desktop application and cloud services.
- Implement integration patterns that work reliably under desktop constraints, including performance, responsiveness, connectivity variability, and version compatibility.
- Contribute to structured SDK interoperability and cloud enablement across C++/.NET SDKs and related components.
- Enable capability discovery and compatibility awareness across versions and environments.
- Partner with desktop and SDK teams to deliver seamless integrations without destabilizing core workflows.
Planning, Quality & Collaboration
- Write, size, accurately detail, and break down complex stories and defects.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and decisions to stakeholders.
- Participate in planning and help shape feasible, high-quality solutions.
- Coordinate with developers and the broader team to deliver large-scale projects.
- Propose and implement designs with attention to usability, maintainability, performance, compatibility, and developer experience.
- Conduct peer reviews and promote unit-test coverage and test-driven development.
- Evaluate and recommend development tools, technologies, and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 4-5 years of professional experience building web APIs and cloud services.
- Experience developing commercial CAD/CAM applications in C++.
- Experience developing plugin applications for SolidWorks, NX, Catia, Autodesk, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET for cloud services and APIs.
- Experience integrating native desktop applications with cloud services.
- Experience with data serialization, schema versioning, performance across native and managed runtimes, and large codebases.
- Experience with streaming or bidirectional communication patterns preferred.
- Experience with service-based or microservice-oriented architectures.
- Experience with computational geometry and algorithm development.
- Experience with source control, peer reviews, unit testing, and Agile software development.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools or automation to improve productivity and operational effectiveness, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and apply such technologies at scale.
Key Competencies
- Solid understanding of object-oriented development.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Proven ability to drive projects to completion and deliver high-quality software.
- Strong expertise in a target team domain area.
This role will focus on integrating an acquired company (to be acquired) to Mastercam per Sandvik's and Mastercam's program and processes - from a compliance and financial controls perspective.
