The role ensures that processes are standardised, compliant and efficient, while supporting improvements in safety, quality, reliability, productivity and cost performance.\nKey Performance Areas:\nDevelop, review, implement and maintain controlled testing protocols, work methods, Planned Task Observations, Safe Work Procedures and related technical standards.\nTranslate applicable legislation, International Organisation for Standardisation requirements and Sandvik global standards into clear local operating requirements.\nAnalyse workshop workflows and controls to identify operational risk, waste, variation, rework and cost-saving opportunities, and implement sustainable process improvements.\nPlan and conduct process audits, method assessments, workplace observations and compliance reviews, and monitor corrective actions through to verified closure.\nLead or support incident, failure and root-cause investigations, using evidence and operational data to identify recurring issues and improvement priorities.\nDevelop implementation plans, communication, training and competence checks for new or revised methods, and coach stakeholders on the correct application of standards.\nPrepare reports, dashboards and evidence-based recommendations, maintain document integrity and version control, and provide technical advisory support to management and cross-functional stakeholders.\nYour Profile:\nGrade 12 / Equivalent Qualification\nRelevant Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7), preferably in Industrial Engineering\nMinimum 5 years' experience in Industrial Engineering, Process Improvement, Continuous Improvement, Quality Assurance, or Technical Standards Management\nExperience within mining, heavy equipment, engineering, or manufacturing environments\nExperience conducting operational audits, investigations, and root-cause analyses\nExperience implementing process improvement and change management initiatives\nKnowledge of ISO standards and relevant legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act\nStrong process analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capability\nTechnical report writing and stakeholder engagement skills\nComputer literacy (Microsoft 365) and data analysis/reporting skills\nValid driver's licence\nAdvantageous:\nTrade Certificate in Millwright, Fitting, Electrical, or Diesel Mechanic\nInternal Auditor certification\nLean, Six Sigma, or recognised Root Cause Analysis training\nPractical Trackless Mining Machine (TMM) exposure and failure analysis experience\nHow to apply\nPlease apply online through Workday (ESS) or access the Sandvik careers website at www.home.sandvik/en/careers\nApplications close: 22 October 2026\nSandvik is an equal opportunity employer, striving for practices and programmes that are bias free and in which employees are treated fairly to ensure fair opportunity, with the best outcome for every individual and no discrimination on grounds including, but not limited to, age, gender, gender expression, race, ethnicity, language, religion, sexual orientation or disability.
