Tools Sales & Support Representative

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a customer-focused and technically minded Tools Sales & Support Representative (TSSR) to join Sandvik's Rock Tools team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, providing exceptional technical support, and delivering aftermarket solutions across our Down-the-Hole (DTH), Top Hammer, and Rotary drilling consumables portfolio.

As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will partner with mining, quarrying, construction, and underground operations to optimise drilling performance, improve productivity, and maximise value from their drilling consumables.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, solving technical challenges, and contributing to business growth in a dynamic and hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an assigned customer portfolio through proactive sales and technical support activities.

  • Develop strong relationships with customers, operators, maintenance personnel, and key stakeholders.

  • Provide expert technical advice and application support across Top Hammer, DTH, and Rotary drilling consumables.

  • Conduct site visits, product inspections, and performance assessments, providing recommendations to improve drilling efficiency and consumable life.

  • Lead customer product trials, testing programs, and field evaluations to demonstrate product performance and value.

  • Identify opportunities to increase market share, expand product adoption, and secure new business growth.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Account Managers, Product Support Managers, Product Specialists, and Drill Masters, to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

  • Provide market intelligence, customer insights, and demand forecasts to support business planning and inventory management.

  • Manage warranty claims and support product performance investigations in line with company processes.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in surface and/or underground drilling applications within the mining industry.

  • Proven sales experience within mining, drilling, or a related industrial sector.

  • Demonstrated account management experience with a strong customer focus.

  • Sound technical knowledge of drilling equipment, blasting tools, and drilling consumables.

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse business and operational performance.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • A solutions-focused approach with an understanding of value-based selling principles.

  • High levels of initiative, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to work independently.

  • A willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
