Sanimax is looking for a Fleet Mechanic in our Deforest location for the day shift. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our fleet-including semi tractors, trailers, and yard equipment.

Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee repairs on our fleet, primarily end-dump trailers, tractors, and yard equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues using modern troubleshooting and diagnostic tools
- Conduct pre-inspections to ensure equipment readiness and compliance
- Entering and completing work orders
- Welding & fabricating as necessary
- Partner closely with the Transportation team to meet operational equipment needs
- Execute and promote preventive maintenance programs aligned with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience or completed education in mechanics
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and software
- Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL (or willingness to obtain) is an asset
- Welding or fabrication skills a plus
