You'll work closely with teams across IT, Production, Engineering, and Data Analytics to ensure our database platforms remain reliable, scalable, and secure.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases across on-premises, clustered, high-availability, and Azure environments.\nPlan and execute database upgrades and migrations while maintaining data integrity and minimising downtime.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimise database performance.\nDevelop and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.\nImplement database security controls, encryption, and compliance standards.\nDocument database configurations, data flows, procedures, and standards.\nAutomate maintenance and monitoring tasks using T-SQL and related tools.\nProvide Level 2 and Level 3 support for database-related incidents and service requests.\nStay current with emerging database technologies and best practices through ongoing professional development.\n\nAbout You\nYou are an experienced database professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while delivering outstanding customer service.\nEssential Requirements\nTertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.\n4–6+ years' experience in database administration and support.\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, upgrades, and migrations.\nProven knowledge of SQL Server clustering and High Availability Groups.\nExperience automating database maintenance using T-SQL and related tools.\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nDesirable Experience\nAzure Data Factory and ETL data processing pipelines.\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric and Dataverse.\nCertifications in Azure, ITIL, or Windows Server technologies.\n\nAll applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have the legal right to work in Australia.\n\nWe are an organisation driven by our mission and values.
