This role requires close collaboration with the AR team to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Additionally, this role may provide backup support where needed for various departmental functions and tasks. Cash Applications Representatives play an integral role in the success of the Credit department, contributing significantly to the company's overall achievements.\nWhat Will You Be Doing?\nAccurately post and reconcile customer payments, applying incoming checks, ACH, wires, EFT, etc. to SanMar customer accounts.\nPrepare customer payment details as needed, creating Excel spreadsheets for upload into proprietary software and/or MS Dynamics.\nReconcile discrepancies found in balancing payment postings.\nProcess customer ACH payments and refunds through the bank website, ensuring accurate account withdrawals and strict adherence to all department control procedures.\nProvide regular updates to management on productivity and contributions to department projects.\nWork in a collaborative team environment to achieve department goals, striving to enhance customer service and satisfaction through efficient and effective payment posting.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nComply with all policies and standards.\nWhat Are We Looking For?\nHigh School Diploma\nExperience in credit or applications support is preferred\nAccurate 10 key by touch\nMust have strong attention to detail and organizational skills\nMaintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism\nHave the ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines\nMust work well under pressure, while maintaining a high level of accuracy\nAble to thrive in a structured environment\nDemonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to be responsive to customer needs, with professionalism, respect and consideration of others\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nMust be able to learn the company’s proprietary software and computer system\nReliable with excellent attendance and punctuality, able to work overtime on occasion\nSelf-motivated and comfortable with repetitive tasks\nWork well in team environment and independently\nExceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze payment issues, identify discrepancies, and implement effective solutions\nWhat's Our Offer?\nSalary Range: You`ll earn between $20.82 - $25.00 (WA, NJ); $19.05 - $22.88 (MN, NV, TX, VA); $18.32 - $22.00 (AZ, ID, FL MT, OH) on an hourly basis, depending on experience.\nBonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.\nPaid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in-person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds.
