They also perform general maintenance and janitorial duties as needed. \nWhat Will You Be Doing? \nPerform minor and major repair of all material handling equipment, including Autostore systems. \nPerform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures on conveyor systems and other mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspect belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, grease bearings, seals, etc.; repair or replace broken parts. \nCoordinate external contractors/vendors involved in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of building systems. \nComplete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures. \nComply with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements; maintain all required HAZMAT records including maintenance. \nRespond in a professional and timely manner to management and internal customer inquiries and researches and resolves problems related to a facility’s operational issues. \nMay operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems. \nRespond to emergency maintenance requests as required. \nPerform outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required. \nMay obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; order parts as needed. \nMake recommendations to programs or ideas to improve Maintenance. \nMay be required to operate powered lift equipment and provide support for equipment lockout/tagout. \nPerform other duties as assigned. \nComply with all policies and standards. \nWhat Are We Looking For? \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent \n4-6 years of facility maintenance experience is required to include most of the duties and responsibilities as listed above and use of hand and power tools. \nExperience operating warehouse equipment is preferred \nExcellent organization, ability to prioritize daily responsibilities. \nKnowledge of facilities maintenance and custodial principles, procedures, and standards. \nMay be required to complete and maintain SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification in compliance with OSHA guidelines. \nSelf-motivator; needs to take initiative. \nAble to work both independently and within a team. \nDemonstrates ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; support or rotate to other production functions as needed. \nAbility to work efficiently with minimal supervision. \nResponsible for checking out equipment and returning in same condition. \nResponsive to staff needs, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and consideration of others always \nComprehend verbal and written instructions. \nDemonstrated verbal and written communication skills. \nStrong attention to detail. \nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics. \nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. \nAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. \nRegular and prompt attendance. \nOvertime as required, which may include weekends. \nWhat Should You Expect? \nDC Warehouse (Equipment): While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds. The employee operates powered equipment requiring use of both hands as well as full range of motion of the neck, head and back. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs, kneel/squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears. Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as a protective harness while operating equipment. Basic English literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is occasionally required to work near conveyor systems. There is exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions. Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, etc. Work environment is hectic and fast-paced.
