They are responsible for developing and maintaining test automation frameworks, standards and coding guidelines based on industry best practices and SanMar QA standards.\nWhat Will You Be Doing?\nManage the automation deliverables of a small automation team (ex. code review, code merge).\nStandardize test automation processes across multiple IT teams.\nBuild a robust and scalable automation framework to support current and future technology stack.\nSelect and standardize QA automation tools, test environment and test data management efforts while applying best practices.\nMaintain existing automation scripts as required.\nTrain and mentor QA staff on automation processes, frameworks, coding, tools and acquiring relevant automation expertise and domain knowledge.\nManage and assign workloads to automation engineers, as necessary.\nEvaluate and design automated scripts to ensure end-to-end test coverage; assist with execution, as needed.\nAssist in creation of dedicated test environment and test data management practices for automation and performance testing.\nPrepare and maintain complex data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows for automation.\nAssist in integrating automation with software delivery pipeline and operationalizing automated smoke tests and daily automated runs for software releases.\nDesign automation metrics and track automation ROI.\nDocument and report automation program status to management.\nEstimate automated testing effort levels and skill set needs.\nContribute to performance and scalability testing efforts.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nComply with all policies and standards.\nWhat Are We Looking For?\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience\n4+ years relevant experience as a SDET\nExperience with web services automation (SOAP and REST) using tools like Soap-UI, WebTest, Postman, or REST Assured, including good working knowledge of XML and JSON.\nExperience with performance testing or working knowledge of tools like JMeter, NeoLoad, or LoadRunner is preferred.\nExperience and/or understanding of middleware is a plus.\nTechnical hands-on experience developing automation frameworks and solutions using proprietary and/or open-source tools.\nStrong ability to create data-driven automated frameworks for extensive UI and back-end data validation using SQL and one or more programming languages like Java, JavaScript, C#, VB Script, Python, or Ruby.\nExtensive experience with one or more automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Coded-UI etc.\nStrong working knowledge of Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery and DevOps; experience using tools like Azure DevOps.\nExperience with performance testing or working knowledge of tools like JMeter, NeoLoad, or LoadRunner is preferred.\nDemonstrated skill using code repositories, preferably Git.\nFamiliarity with both Windows and Linux environments.\nKnowledge of Agile and rapid development methodologies.\nExcellent troubleshooting skills to find root cause of complex issues required.\nDemonstrated skill in testing enterprise multi-tiered software.\nKnowledge of security, performance, load, stress and scalability testing a plus.\nPassion for finding bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code through the use of automation tools.\nPassion for continuing education and improving code quality through interaction with development team.\nDemonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews.\nStrong time management skills with a history of meeting commitments.\nCommunicates a ‘can do’ attitude and positive outlook.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nWhat's Our Offer?\nSalary Range: You`ll earn between $120,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience.\nBonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.\nPaid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees are required to work in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional days may be added based on business needs. Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in-person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds.
