This role interacts with customers and various internal departments. Employees are required to safely and efficiently load trailers and other vehicles, depending on Ship Via, by manually lifting and stacking cases of product.\nWhat Will You Be Doing?\nInvoice, tag and load customer shipments in an accurate and timely manner.\nVerify orders and charges for accurate invoicing, tagging and loading shipments, including PSST and R&L shipments.\nCreate parcel or freight invoices with close attention to accuracy of shipping charges and deadlines.\nRespond to account executive, traffic, drivers, or other inquiries by phone or e-mail.\nManually load pallets on conveyor by safely and efficiently lifting and stacking cases.\nUse Radio Frequency (RF) unit in combination with Internal Operating System to perform daily work.\nUse Internal Operating System to verify accuracy of shipping details.\nMeet minimum production and accuracy standards and delivery deadlines.\nResponsible for checking out equipment and returning in same condition.\nMay be required to operate powered lift equipment which will require completion of SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification every three years.\nMaintain safe, neat and clean work area by adhering to SanMar’s safety regulations.\nWhat Are We Looking For?\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nLess than 1 year of experience in a warehouse\nAbility to read, write and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information\nBasic math skills in counting and quantity required\nAbility to work with customers and coworkers and keep a positive, supportive attitude towards the Company and job\nMay be required to complete and maintain SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification every three years\nStrong customer service skills\nDemonstrated verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent organization skills; demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities\nAbility to learn Internal Operating System(s) and operate Radio Frequency (RF) unit\nSelf-starter with strong initiative and ability to work efficiently, with minimal supervision\nStrong attention to detail\nProficient typing and data entry skills\nDemonstrates ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require\nAbility to work in high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines\nAble to work both independently and within a team\nEssential days or overtime may be required\nWhat's Our Offer?\nPaid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds. The employee operates powered equipment requiring use of both hands as well as full range of motion of the neck, head and back. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs, kneel/squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears. Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as a protective harness while operating equipment. Basic English literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is occasionally required to work near conveyor systems. There is exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions. Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, etc. Work environment is hectic and fast-paced.
