The Modulus Project is at the cornerstone of Sanofi's strategy, aiming to create a new manufacturing concept: a new generation of evolutive multi-product facilities - modular, adaptable and agile - leveraging disruptive technologies to better address vaccine business challenges as well as Specialty Care Biologics products.\nWe are looking for an experienced engineering leader with hands-on expertise in biopharma/API process engineering and automation controls, and a strong track record delivering projects from feasibility through execution and controls.\nThe ideal candidate is comfortable in a dynamic environment, brings structured thinking and cross-functional collaboration skills, and enjoys developing high-performing teams.\nReporting to the Head of Site Engineering & Maintenance (Modulus) who sits in the Site Leadership Team,the Head of Engineering & Projects (Modulus) leads the Engineering and Projects sub-function within the Tuas Modulus Site Engineering & Maintenance team, with accountability for Tier 3 capital projects, technical engineering support, and team leadership within that scope.\nAccountabilities\nManage Tier3 (T3, < 5M€) capex projects on site\nDrive site Capex committees; Manage evaluation and prioritization of site project and process improvement initiatives. Decide on the initiation and manage funding of capital projects.\nProvide project feasibility evaluation and technical front-end studies input to support decision making process with site leadership team and central function\nManage (process) engineering technical support for Manufacturing team\nProvide input to Site Master Plan and Strategy Planning\nManage project execution work packages, inclusive of contract management, phasing of spending, progress tracking\nOwn deliverables associated with T3 project end-to-end workstream; from design, procurement, construction and C&Q\nAdvise on strategies to ensure all engineering activities comply with industry regulations and standards\nAs part of CoP, work with global SME to review and upgrade standards, best Practices & Lessons Learned\nImplementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality within the engineering and maintenance groups\nSelection and management of external contractors and suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s HSE and Quality standards and requirements\nStaffing of Site Engineering and Project team based on site needs and strategic workforce planning from design to qualification\nManage T1 & T2 (Global Engineering) project integration to site routine, inclusive of technical/project support post qualification and handover to site.\nManage a team of engineering professionals (Site Tier3 Project Lead, C&Q, Process & Plant Engineers); nurturing talents, driving performance and development planning.\nExperience, Knowledge and Skills\nOnly candidates with strong technical acumen, a proven track record in leading equipment/process troubleshooting and commissioning efforts, and the ability to provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to engineers should apply.\nOnly candidate with prior GxP experience need to apply\nDegree or Master in Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial & Systems)\nMinimum 10 years of cumulative experience in Project Management, C&Q and Process Engineering in biopharmaceuticals or API manufacturing. Only candidate with all three areas of expertise will be considered.\nProven track record in planning, executing, and monitoring large-scale projects\nHands-on experience with DeltaV automation systems, instrument connectivity, and equipment design is advantageous, with the ability to engage directly at the technical level when required.\nDemonstrated hands-on technical capability, with a proven ability to work alongside engineers on the floor, troubleshoot complex issues directly, and lead by example rather than by setting direction alone\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical issues\nRegulatory Knowledge: Familiar with local statutory requirements, pharmaceutical industry regulations including GMP and FDA standards. \nCommitment to quality and safety; compliance in all project phases\nStrong people management skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams\nPursue progress, discover extraordinary\nBetter is out there.
