individual to raise the bar on Sanofi’s Network Security systems while maintaining relevance in the fast moving and evolving network security industry.\nAs a member of the team, closely with Network Engineering, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to implement security controls, improve network resilience, automate security operations, and respond to security incidents.\nYou will also be interacting with cross-functional team engineers, architects, internal and vendor partners to evangelize and provide NextGEN network security technology solutions to;\nMaximize the business value from Sanofi’s Digital Technology and Solutions investments.\nUnleash innovation for our organization, employees, and customers.\nMain responsibilities:\nNetwork Security Engineering\nDesign and implement scalable, efficient, & cost-effective enterprise network security solutions\nNext-generation firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, secure web gateways, and network access controls.\n\nKeep Sanofi safe through active operation and defense of critical network infrastructure, developing and maintaining firewall policies, security zones, NAT, routing, and access-control policies.\nImplement secure LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Internet, data center, and cloud connectivity.\nDesign, implement and support network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust security initiatives.\nConduct security reviews of network designs and infrastructure changes.\nEnsure network security controls comply with enterprise security standards and policies.\nUltimately, ensure high levels of security, availability, and performance within the Sanofi’s environment.\nCloud & Modern Network Security\nImplement security controls across AWS, Azure, and/or other cloud environments.\nSecure hybrid and multi-cloud network connectivity.\nDesign secure connectivity between data centers, cloud platforms, SaaS environments, and remote users.\nSupport SASE, SSE, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and cloud security initiatives.\nPartner with cloud engineers to secure VPC/VNet, routing, security groups, and cloud firewall architecture.\nSecurity Operations & Incident Response\nMonitor network security events and investigate suspicious network activity.\nTroubleshoot and respond to network security incidents.\nParticipate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation activities.\nAnalyze firewall, proxy, VPN, IDS/IPS, DNS, and network traffic logs.\nWork with SOC teams to improve detection and response capabilities.\nPerform vulnerability remediation and security hardening of network infrastructure.\nAutomation, Improve Efficiency & Continuous Improvement\nAutomate service delivery, network security provisioning, configuration, compliance, and operational processes.\nDevelop scripts and workflows using Python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, or similar technologies.\nImplement Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration-management practices.\nDevelop automated security compliance and configuration validation.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce manual operational activities through automation.\nGovernance & Documentation\nMaintain network security architecture diagrams, standards, procedures, and operational documentation.\nParticipate in security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.\nEnsure network changes follow enterprise change management and security processes.\nEvaluate emerging security technologies and recommend improvements.\nDrive Continuous improvement of solution platform, specification & design, systems integration, platform lifecycle management.\nContribute to security standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.\nAbout you:\n7+ years of experience in network engineering or network security engineering.\nUnderstanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment.\nAn enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and technology solutions.\nStrong experience in architecture/design, development, and implementation of large-scale Network Security technology and solutions.\nIn-depth knowledge of Firewalls platforms from Palo Alto, Cisco and Checkpoint, IPS/IDS,\nExperience with LAN, WAN, Internet, data centre, and/or SD-WAN environments and understanding of Network Routing and Switching.\nExperience with AWS and or Azure networking, Cloud solutions and Network Access Control.\nExperience with SASE, SSE, ZTNA, and Zero Trust architectures.\nUnderstanding of and exposure to network segmentation and methodologies like SCADA and enable it to be both manageable and scalable.\nExperience using firewall security orchestration and Python, Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, and network automation.\nHands-on experience with Audit for Firewalls configurations, ACLs and implementing security controls aligned to Sanofi’s policies and standards.\nExcellent Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nOccasional work outside business hours\nGood communication and presentation skills in English including the ability to convey
