It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.\nWhat you’ll do: \nBased in our Brisbane office, the Senior Process Engineer will provide specialist process engineering support, technical assurance and discipline governance across Midstream & Energy Solutions assets and projects. Reporting to the Team Leader Discipline Engineering, the role ensures safe, reliable and compliant engineering outcomes throughout the asset lifecycle.\nKey accountabilities include:\nPerform technical assessments, reviews and assurance of engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with Santos, regulatory and industry requirements \nCollaborate with process optimisation, operations and maintenance teams to identify and mitigate equipment vulnerabilities, reliability risks and obsolescence challenges \nReview and assure contractor and vendor engineering deliverables against legislative, corporate and industry standards \nSupport investigations into discipline-related incidents, failures and performance issues, providing technical analysis and recommendations \nFulfil the role of Change Advisor within the Management of Change process and provide technical guidance on proposed changes \nEnsure process safety, asset integrity and personnel safety considerations are embedded throughout project development, design and execution \nMentor, coach and develop graduate and early-career engineers to build discipline capability \nContribute to discipline engineering planning, forecasting and annual budget development \nMaintain compliance with the Santos Management System, Delegation of Authority and all applicable company policies and standards \n What you’ll bring:\nYou will be experienced in:\nTen or more years of experience in a process engineering role supporting operations and projects in oil and gas, petrochemical or a similar industry \nExperience in major hazard facility or refining environments (preferred) \nStrong working knowledge of relevant technical standards and the regulatory framework for the oil and gas industry \nDemonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively in a corporate engineering environment \nExperience mentoring and coaching engineers at graduate or early-career level \nEligible for RPEQ and chartered engineering status, with a Bachelor's Degree in engineering \nWhat you’ll get: \nHere, you’ll be amongst high-calibre people and get to work on industry-leading projects.
