EIC extends enterprise integration capabilities to edge, sovereign, private, and on-premises environments through a secure, lightweight, and highly efficient architecture.\nEIC operates in environments where connectivity to cloud services is limited, intermittent, or unavailable for extended periods. Engineers on this team build platform capabilities that must function reliably under these constraints - spanning security, lifecycle management, operability, and resilient message processing.\nYou will be part of a team building secure, scalable, and resilient platform capabilities for the future of enterprise integration.\nIn this role, you will:\nImplement, test, and maintain capabilities for the Edge Integration Cell, primarily using Java while working with Go and other technologies where appropriate.\nBuild and improve platform components that function reliably without continuous cloud connectivity.\nApply AI-assisted engineering tools as part of your daily workflow to write better code faster.\nInvestigate and resolve technical issues across distributed systems, Kubernetes-based platforms, and integration runtimes.\nWork closely with Product Management, UX, architects, and engineering teams within an Empowered Product Team (EPT) to deliver customer-centric outcomes.\nImplement features based on technical designs and specifications, ensuring quality, test coverage, and maintainability.\nParticipate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical planning to grow your understanding of the platform and contribute your perspective.\nTake responsibility for your deliverables from implementation through testing and deployment.\nLearn from and contribute to the team through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.\nWhat You Bring\nYou are a motivated software engineer with a solid foundation in software development and a genuine interest in distributed systems, cloud technologies, and platform engineering. You are not afraid to work on unfamiliar problems and are willing to dig into complex systems to understand how they work.\nYou work well in collaborative teams and are excited about building software that operates in challenging, real-world environments.\nQualifications and Experience\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline - or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience in software development with Java as a primary programming language. Exposure to Go or other languages is a plus. Willingness to learn new programming languages as needed.\nFamiliarity with distributed systems concepts and cloud-native development practices.\nExperience with or strong interest in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.\nOpenness to using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development workflows.\nSolid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, testing, version control, and CI/CD practices.\nFamiliarity with API design, concurrency concepts, and debugging distributed applications.\nGood problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in agile and globally distributed teams.
