What you’ll do:

You'll design, build, and operate platform capabilities, deployment frameworks, and infrastructure automation. Improving system reliability, scalability, and performance through monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution is a core part of the work. You'll collaborate with product, design, and cloud operations teams to translate requirements into practical solutions, contribute to developer experience by simplifying workflows, and support automation initiatives that bring intelligent operations into platform workflows.

After a mentored learning phase, we expect you to take over responsibility alongside the team in the following task fields:

• Support the development of our Python- and Go-based procedures and tools for BTP ABAP Cloud Environment
• Definition of concepts, APIs, and implementation of procedures and workflows
• Test Automation

What you bring:

You have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, and containerized environments. A strong understanding of infrastructure automation, observability, and system reliability is expected, as is comfort troubleshooting issues using logs and metrics. Experience with DevOps practices is part of the profile. Awareness of security, access control, and AI-assisted operations rounds out what you'll bring.

You bring along

• A good degree in computer science, mathematics, natural science, engineering, or related fields
• The ability to understand complex technical concepts and solve problems, and the skills to act as a key functional contributor in your team
• Good general programming skills and good knowledge of cloud native development
• Good understanding of Git version control and software distribution system. Hands-on experience with GitHub and Git concepts is a plus
• Experience and knowledge in Agile methodologies such as Design Thinking, Scrum, Test-Driven Development, and Pair Programming are highly beneficial
• Fluency in Czech and English is a must. German language skills are an advantage

Skills used in this role include: AI-assisted development, agentic orchestration, AI governance operations, context engineering, AI output quality assurance, agentic AI day-to-day practice, system-integrated vibe coding, AI adoption capability.

The ABAP Cloud Infrastructure department within the ABAP Platform organization is responsible for developing fully automated configuration, maintenance and operations tools utilized to operate over 3,000+ BTP ABAP Cloud systems in the cloud. Our department team is accountable for the entire lifecycle of our customer systems, providing centralized maintenance tools that ensure uninterrupted operations. Our role necessitates a harmonious balance between resolving technical challenges and coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders. We are currently engaged in innovative initiatives such as Zero Downtime Upgrades, Sovereign Cloud, and we are working in a technology partnership with leading IaaS/hyperscaler providers.
