What you will build

We are seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to join our China team. In this role, you will support quality engineering activities for cloud-native applications and micro-delivery projects, working closely with software engineers, quality engineers, and DevOps colleagues. You will gain hands-on experience in functional testing, regression testing, test automation, quality reporting, and AI-assisted testing practices while contributing to the quality and reliability of SAP Consumer Industries Cloud solutions.

As a Quality Engineer Intern, you will work on projects that support SAP Consumer Industries Cloud’s quality goals. You will help validate product features, contribute to regression testing and automation, assist with project quality reporting, and explore AI-assisted approaches to improve testing efficiency and coverage. This role is suited to candidates who are adaptable, eager to learn, and interested in solving quality-related problems across cloud-native and full-stack application scenarios.

Your Tasks May Include

• Write automated, manual, functional, and feature test cases to help ensure product quality.

• Understand existing product features and participate in regression testing.

• Support requirements testing and test script development.

• Learn test automation technologies such as WebdriverIO, Gatling, and LoadRunner, and contribute to unit test and integration test automation where applicable.

• Support scrum tracking and quality management by preparing project status and quality reports.

• Use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to support testing activities, including test case generation, defect analysis, test script development, and regression optimization.

What you bring

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

• Good written and spoken English communication skills.

• Communicate effectively, collaborate well in a team, and maintain a positive attitude.

• Stay self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn testing and quality technologies.

• Have good programming skills and familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, or Python.

• Have hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT in project scenarios, with a strong interest in exploring AI-driven approaches to improve testing efficiency.

• Be able to work at least four days per week and remain available for more than six months.
