This position is a mix of managing a team, participating in evaluating NAIC/State changes and client facing activities.\nThe Manager must be self-directed and an agile thinker with the ability to handle rapidly shifting priorities.Responsibilities\nAct as mentor and subject matter expert for the Associate Programmers and Statutory Accountants in the StatementPro product team\n\nAccountable to his/her team for understanding the business environment, processes and deriving practical business-system solutions per the goals of the project\n\nPlanning, tracking and delivering each release, including ensuring deadlines are met, release documentation and customer communication.\n\nCoordinate code review, QA and testing with development and managing the work item backlog and priorities.\n\nLead onboarding of new staff when needed and divide up tasks appropriately\n\nAssist in analyzing requirements from the NAIC to ensure that the software is in compliance\n\nAssist with writing requirements for new enhancements to the product\n\nSubmitting test files and Q&A items to the NAIC and working with print and other vendors\n\nAttend monthly and quarterly NAIC meetings and prepare educational documentation outlining important details regarding future regulatory changes\n\nAssist in the preparation and presentation of the User Group meetings and NAIC blanks changes presentations\n\nServing as the compliance expert on escalated support issues\n\nMonitoring regulatory and state website changes and keeping forms, links and calendars current\n\nPerform other duties as requested\n\nPeople Management: Provides management for one or more functions within a department, including staffing and performance issues\nFiscal Management: N/A\nProperty Management: N/ARequirementsPeople Management: Provides management for one or more functions within a department, including staffing and performance issues\n\nJob Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education, Certification, License, Training\n5+ years experience working for a software or service company\n\n5+ years experience managing/mentoring a team\n\n5 + Statutory Accounting experience preferred\n\nStrong facilitation skills\n\nProficiency with desktop applications (Outlook mail and calendaring, MS Office applications)\n\nBachelor’s Degree in business, computer science and/or related field desired.\n\nEquivalent experience may be substituted\n\nExcellent written, verbal and presentation skills\n\nPhysical Conditions/Requirements: \nPosition requires the ability to hear and communicate clearly, orally and in writing.\n\nUses vision to view screens, create and review documents;
