Role is defined by the following:\nInitial TrainingGoal is to learn about and provide CAD drafting services, document management support, as required under the supervision of the Lead Project Engineer and/or Lead Designer.\nDutiesComputer Aided Drafting - Provide layout and detailed drawings for Electrical, Instrumentation, and general engineering design.\nDocument Management Support - Distribution, filing and maintenance of all drawings and associated documents.\nComplete all company safety training.\n\nEngineering DutiesAfter completing initial training, the student will be assigned an Engineer to work with.\nAssist engineer in planning and implementing projects to improve production efficiency.\nAssist others with special projects and presentations when requested.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Microsoft Word and Excel experience required.\nExperience with Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Microsoft FrontPage, Autodesk ACAD, and Autodesk Inventor is desirable.\nStrong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with other people in a respectful, consistent and fair manner.\nGood organizing, planning and coordinating abilities.\nCreativity in creating new methods of displaying and presenting documentation in the forms of drawings, pictures, text and combinations of all of these.\nMust have a valid driver's license with a demonstrated safe driving record.\n\nThe pulp and paper industry has much to offer the Electrical Engineering student.
