Ready to bring your best?\nOverview of the Role or Responsibilities:\nSaputo is seeking an Automation Controls Lead, for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position specializes in automation, control and electricity for the St. Marys location. The Automation Controls Lead is responsible for programming on PLCs, operator interfaces, and instrumentation to implement various plant improvement/optimization projects. The candidate will use their strong leadership skills to guide their colleagues and ensure the development/design of projects and implementation are within budget. Their continuous improvement and customer focus skills will ensure they are following various engineering projects that are compliant in relation to automated systems.\nSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (Flexibility may be required)\nSalary: $102,075 - $133,975 annually\n*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.\nWe support and take care of our employees and their families by offering:\nGenerous and complete benefit coverage with group insurance\nGroup retirement plan with employer contribution\nTelemedicine and assistance program for employees and their families\nEmployee Share Ownership Plan with an employer match\nPaid Parental Leave program\nPaid time off: Sick days, floater days and volunteer day off\nOpportunity to contribute to a collective RRSP & TFSA\nTraining and development programs\nSaputo Flex Program, flexible work environment (schedule/location/time off) according to department needs\nOrganized activities for employees and their families \nAdvantageous discounts on Saputo products\nHow you will make contributions that matter:\nPlan, manage and support the plant in the different improvement / optimization projects.\nIn conjunction with the external process automation contractor, responsible for responding, troubleshoot and mitigate all control related issues\nUpdate technical documentation, PLC for troubleshooting and the various Licenses essential to the proper functioning of the plant.\nActively participate in the development and maintenance of installation standards.\nCarry out automation work (programming) and instrumentation of the various systems developed.\nCollaborate with the electrical engineering team in the design and programming of the system control logic and operator interfaces (HMI).\nCollaborate with the maintenance department to maintain troubleshooting of PLCs, purchasing equipment and development of troubleshooting procedures, and support team members to optimize downtime. \nPrepares budget estimates in close collaboration with other departments. \nEstablish controls and links with the OT/IT department to implement certain plant or maintenance requirements.\n\nYou are best suited for the role if you:\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automated production engineering or other relevant training.\nIn good standing with the Professional Engineers of Ontario, or other provincial equivalent.\n2 to 5 years of relevant experience.\nExcellent knowledge of automation, including an understanding of operator interfaces (HMI), PLC and operator interface programming languages, and PLC programming (Allen Bradley).\nExcellent knowledge of Ethernet, devicenet, Modbus, Profinet, ASI and other networks.\nStrong troubleshooting and process skills\nKnowledge of AutoCAD software and Office suite.\nDemonstrated technical leadership, initiative, autonomy, and strong communication, collaboration, planning, and organizational skills.\n*Please note that the duties, skills, and requirements contained in the posting are common to the role and do not represent an exhaustive list of tasks and duties.
