Ready to bring your best?\nThe Finance Clerk will be responsible for supporting the accounting team with month end financial closing duties, as well as all budgeting, forecasting, and costing activities for the facility. He/she will compile and submit monthly market reports according to Market Administrator protocol and ensure proper milk accruals as well as perform duties using common accounting practices.\nSupport and analyze drivers of performance of P&L\nPrepare month end close accruals, journal entries, P&L reconciliations for Finance Administration Manager\nDiagnose weekly/monthly material yield and loss\nAssist the Plant leadership team with assessing functional performance and areas of opportunity for further cost reduction to achieve Plant KPI’s\nAssist data-driven, fact based information to support decisions enabling productivity measures to reduce overall cost\nTrack Capital expenditures for plant\nSubmit Milk Market Administrator reports\nMilk accruals\nAnalyze actual costs versus standard costs and prepare reports of variances.\nBack up Accounts Payable Clerk\nCommunicate directly with vendors on discrepancies and resolutions\nWork with internal personnel to ensure process flow is followed\nAssist with month end close related duties including; accruals, account reconciliation etc.\nSupport Finance Manager with weekly duties\nEnsure records are maintained and organized\nSettle all incoming bulk liquid receipts with vendors\nPrepare monthly advance and final milk payments\nAssist in the preparation of the annual budget and other special projects\nSupport internal/external audits\nSupport record-retention administration and guidelines\nComply with the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply the Saputo Values\nPerform other duties as assigned\nJob Requirements:\n2 Year Accounting or Finance degree preferred or 5 years general accounting experience\nKnowledge of accounts payable and/or general accounting procedures\nERP, SAP experience preferred.\nStrong highly motivated team player with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong MS Excel skills\nExcellent verbal, written and organizational skills\nAbility to communicate effectively\nExtreme attention to details, well organized with excellent skills in managing time and multi-tasking\nAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness\nPhysical Demands and Working Environment:\nThe employee may be exposed to wet, hot, humid and cold temperatures, moving machinery including forklift traffic, and noise levels exceeding 85dB.\nThe employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds independently on an intermittent basis.\nThe employee is regularly required to work in an office, but will spend time in warehouse and production environments.\nSpecific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nThe employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.\nSaputo is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
