Ready to bring your best?\nOverview of the role:\nSaputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for a 12-month work term.\nReporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator (MRO) is responsible for managing maintenance materials, spare parts procurement, and inventory processes to support equipment reliability and maintenance execution.\nThe role owns the availability, accuracy, and control of maintenance materials and inventory, ensuring that parts are available when needed, inventory levels are optimized, and CMMS data is accurate and audit-ready.\nThe Maintenance Coordinator (MRO) supports maintenance planning and scheduling by ensuring materials are ready but does not plan, schedule, or execute maintenance work.\nHow you will make contributions that matter:\nProcure maintenance parts (routine, critical, and project-related) through approved systems (Ariba, Maestro, SAP).\nMaintain and optimize MRO inventory based on usage, criticality, and reliability needs.\nEnsure parts availability for planned maintenance work, including PMs, repairs, and shutdowns.\nSupport plant and engineering projects by ensuring required materials, spare parts, and vendor services are available and ready to support planned work.\nTrack and manage work orders waiting on parts, urgent requests, and critical spares.\nManage the red-tag and repairable parts process, including vendor follow-up, quality checks, and return to service.\nMaintain accurate CMMS records for inventory, purchasing, and repair activities.\nLead cycle counts, annual physical inventory, and audit alignment processes.\nWork with the Maintenance Planner to improve BOM accuracy and parts standardization.\nIdentify repeat part failures, obsolete components, and inventory gaps to support reliability improvements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Quality, H&S) to improve materials readiness and workflow efficiency.\nOther duties as assigned.\nYou are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:\nPostsecondary education in engineering, technology, trades, supply chain, or related field.\n2+ years of experience in manufacturing or maintenance environment.\nStrong knowledge of MRO inventory management and maintenance practices.\nCMMS experience (SAP preferred).\nReliability or asset management training (CMRP, FMEA, MMP - asset).\nAdditional Skills & Competencies:\nMaintenance purchasing, procurement, and MRO inventory management principles.\nVendor follow-up, relationship management, price verification, and cost control.\nProficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; Power BI knowledge.\nExperience with customs, import/export, or cross-border procurement.\nHighly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communicator with strong collaboration abilities.\nAble to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.\nDependable, proactive, and effective in cross-functional environments.\nWe support and take care of our employees and their families by offering: \nVacation upon hire.\nGenerous and complete benefit coverage with group insurance.\nGroup retirement plan with employer contribution.\nEmployee family assistance program for employees and their families.\nEmployee Share Ownership Plan with an employer match.\nPaid Maternity/Parental Leave program.\nPaid time off: Floater Day and volunteer day off.\nOpportunity to contribute to a collective RRSP & TFSA.\nTraining and Development programs.\nSaputo Flex Program, flexible work environment (schedule/location/time off) according to department needs.\nOrganized activities for employees and their families. \nSalary: $61,985.00 - $77,480.00\n*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.\nAll applications are carefully considered by our Talent Acquisition team.\nArtificial Intelligence tools may be used in screening applications.\nArtificial Intelligence is not used to assess or select applications.\nIn Canada, Saputo is a leading cheese manufacturer and fluid milk and cream processor, with a portfolio of well-loved brands such as Dairyland, Armstrong, Neilson, Alexis de Portneuf, and many more.
