Ready to bring your best?\nOverview of the Role:\nThe Credit Representative reports to the AR Manager and is responsible for the evaluation of overall company credit risk by managing the credit worthiness of new and existing businesses.\nHow you will make contributions that matter:\nProcess and evaluate daily credit applications, leveraging a strong understanding of legal entity structures to validate customer information, corporate documentation, ownership relationships, registered addresses, and financial data, ensuring accurate credit assessments and compliance with company policies.\nExamine and analyze customer financial information, at a national level, including historical internal data (DSO, AS400, MicroStrategy, credit hold reports), and commercial banking reports, for both public and private companies,\nReview / analyze credit reports, various financial and business data to make credit risk decisions or recommendations.\nKnowledge of customer financial statements, including liquidity and risk ratios, would be an asset\nSupport trade relationships with credit agencies\nStrong communication skills required to facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders, including sales, AR collection and customer master teams\nPrepare and analyze weekly and monthly credit reports, making evaluations and recommendations.\nEstablish and improve credit controls for existing customer accounts.\n You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:\n5+ years’ experience in a commercial credit environment, having already made credit recommendations.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications essential, strong knowledge of excel required.\nAdvanced analytical and organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.\nDemonstrated problem solving/decision making skills.\nSelf-motivated with initiative.\nExcellent customer service, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.\nWorks well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.\nBachelor’s degree (preferably in Commerce) and/or Credit Certified Professional (CCP) designation obtained / or in process of obtaining, would be an asset\nBilingual (French and English) both spoken and written, is essential. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with customers, sales, and financial teams across Quebec and Canada.
