Ready to bring your best?\nOverview of the role:\nSaputo is seeking a Production Supervisor, for an existing opportunity within our organization.\nReporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for leading our production employees and overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure objectives are met for quality, safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the processing and packaging of our products.\nHow you will make contributions that matter:\nEnsures the safe, efficient and effective use of the workforce, equipment and material resources;\nProvides leadership, direction, guidance, supervision, evaluation, motivation and training of production employees.\nSchedules equipment and personnel to ensure production requirements/targets are met on a timely basis;\nEffectively uses operational data daily to measure and communicate trends; reinforces positive results and initiates corrective actions as appropriate;\nPrepares effective written communication including work procedures and notices to progress reports for senior management;\nEnsures that both Company and Governmental quality, sanitation and environmental standards are met through close liaison with Quality Assurance and Technical Services Department, as well as frequent review and implementation of such Policies;\nLiaises with the Maintenance Department to minimize downtime and ensure product safety and quality;\nEnsures safe conditions at all times; takes appropriate action to protect the health and safety of employees;\nReviews and maintains inventories, monitors daily sales projections, ensuring adequate stock of all products;\nResponsible for personnel management including recruitment, performance and disciplinary, time and attendance and labour planning;\nSupports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standards;\nBuilds and maintains effective internal and external relationships;\nOther duties as required\nYou are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:\nPost-secondary education in Food Sciences, Dairy Technology, Microbiology or other related education/experience;\nMinimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in Dairy or Food manufacturing environment;\nThorough knowledge of Dairy operations with emphasis on processing and sanitation;\nDemonstrated leadership skills, preferably in a unionized environment;\nMust be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, work well under pressure;\nStrong team orientation and proven leadership skills; Superior communication and interpersonal skills\nProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office) analytical and organization skills;\nAvailable to work on a monthly rotating shift (day and afternoon shifts);\n*Please note that the duties, skills, and requirements contained in the posting are common to the role and do not represent an exhaustive list of tasks and duties.
