Ready to bring your best?\nThe Quality Assurance Supervisor directly supervises lab employees to maximize productivity of assigned shifts and areas at the highest quality and food safety standards. This includes training employees, planning, assigningand directing work, addressing product and employee complaints, and resolving problems. This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance withthe Company’s policies, Federal, Stateand local regulations that govern our business.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nProvide leadership and direction with lab team membersto maximize product quality, food safetyand productivity.\n\nEnsures proper procedures are in place and being followed for product quality, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines.\n\nSupport Quality Assurance systems in order tosatisfy internal and customer requirements to include process evaluation and product protection programs; process specifications and standards; sanitation programs, HACCPand GMP programs; production labeling; and product storage and distribution.\n\nActively supportFood Safety systems and procedures department and plant wide.\n\nCoordinateworkschedules and estimate laborhour requirements to ensure continuous lab coverage and production support.\n\nSupport internal and external audits.\n\nPerform record review and report variances to Supervisor.\n\nRecommends improvements to production methods, equipment performanceand quality of product.\n\nAnalyze and resolveswork, quality and food safety variances through root cause analysis and support team members with problem solving activities to ensure product quality.\n\nMaintains quality and food safety records.\n\nCollaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.\n\nProvides supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary actionand performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participategrievances or other contract related activities and discussions.\n\nReview and update product testing procedures.\n\nTrains and instructsemployees regardingquality and food safety standards and processes. Overseesinstruction, implementationand enforcement of policies.\n\nEngages inthe typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integratingand delegating.\n\nAdhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply the Saputo Values.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nJob Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in a science-based area (ex:Microbiology, Food Science, Dairy Science) of study preferred, or a minimum of 3years demonstratedlaboratory experience in a leadershiprole, preferably in dairy food manufacturing.\n\nFamiliarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.\n\nExperience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.\n\nAbility to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, LIMS application, SAP preferred.\n\nExcellent verbal/written communication skills.\n\nAbility to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.\n\nAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.\n\nSkill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.\n\nStrong teamplayer and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.\n\nAbility to select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engageand retaina team of employees.\n\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establishfactsand draw valid conclusions.\n\nAbility to understand cost containment and budgetary principles.\n\nAbility to work flexible hours including weekends.\n\nSaputo is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
