Ready to bring your best?\nOperates and maintains wastewater treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in wastewater treatment plant to control flow and processing of wastewater by performing the following duties.\n8 days on 6 days off rotation; 4 - 10 hour shifts:\n6am-4pm Weekdays; Weekends 6am to 6pm\nHow You Will Make Contributions That Matter\nOperates and maintains pumps, blowers, chemical feed equipment, sludge processing equipment, clarifiers, and other related equipment.\nMonitors control panels and adjusts valves and gates manually or by remote control to regulate the flow of wastewater.\nObserves variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and test results to determine load requirements.\nStarts and stops pumps, engines, and generators to control flow of wastewater through filtering, settling, aeration, and sludge digestion processes.\nMaintains log of operations and records meter and gauge readings.\nAdds chlorine, polymer and other chemicals as outlined to disinfect and clarify water.\nPushes/pulls 2500-pound totes using a hand jack.\nMakes adjustments to plant operation as required to include flow adjustments, chemical additions, equipment adjustments, motor speeds, and various set points on plant network.\nCollects daily samples, records daily flows, and conducts tests to include: pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, dissolved solids, total suspended solids, BOD, Ammonia, TKN, Phosphorous, Nitrates, COD, Chlorides, Volatile Acid/Alkalinity, and Microscopic Analysis.\nCompletes bench sheets associated with various tests.\nPerforms QA/QC tests according to DNR specifications.\nCalibrates lab equipment.\nCompletes data entry using Microsoft Word and Excel.\nYou Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have\nValues that align with the Saputo culture.\nPursuing Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2-year or technical college and/or 3-6 years of related experience and/or training;\nPursuing Grade T or above Operator’s License or equivalent experience.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
