This individual will play a critical role in forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and supporting production, NPI, and/or non-steady state operations. You will partner closely with engineering, procurement, program management, and suppliers to ensure material readiness while balancing cost, risk, and schedule in dynamic environments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our\nsupply chain's integrity, meeting deadlines, and ensuring compliance with DoD regulations and standards.\nResponsibilities\nOwn and improve end-to-end tactical supply plans to support NPI builds, production builds, and/or off-nominal builds.\n\nTranslate engineering demand, build schedules, and program milestones into executable material requirements within ERP/MRP systems, ensuring system-driven visibility and control.\n\nOptimize factory planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, planning fences, reorder strategies) to improve material flow, reduce shortages, and support rapid design iteration.\n\nDrive BOM maturity and change management execution by assessing material impact of ECOs, managing cut-ins/cut-outs, and minimizing excess and obsolete exposure.\n\nIdentify and mitigate material readiness risks related to design instability, supplier capacity constraints, long-lead components, and quality performance through structured risk registers and recovery plans.\n\nEnsure accurate master data governance (BOMs, routings, planning attributes, supplier parameters) to enable reliable MRP outputs and production readiness signals.\n\nPartner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to align supply execution with build plans, capacity constraints, and program priorities.\n\nEstablish and monitor material readiness metrics (shortage tracking, kit completeness, on-time-to-build, supplier OTD, inventory health) to drive daily execution and escalation.\n\nLead shortage resolution and recovery management, including root cause analysis, systemic corrective actions, and supplier coordination to protect build schedules.\n\nDevelop and implement supply planning processes, workflows, and system utilization to improve repeatability, scalability, and factory throughput.\n\nAnalyze supply chain performance data to identify systemic bottlenecks and implement process improvements that balance speed, cost, inventory exposure, and risk.\n\nEnsure compliance with DoD program requirements, audit readiness, and traceability standards through disciplined documentation and system controls\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related\nfield (preferred).\n\n5+ years of experience in supply chain planning or management, ideally in a\nmanufacturing environment and 1+ years of experience with NPI/ Change Management\noperations (experience with defense or advanced technology products is a plus).\n\nStrong knowledge of supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)\nand Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).\n\nExperience with supply planning, with emphasis on new product introduction\nProven ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment and manage multiple\nprojects simultaneously.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve\nsupply chain issues effectively.\n\nKnowledge of DoD regulations, standards, and compliance requirements for defense-\nrelated manufacturing (preferred).\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate\neffectively with internal teams and external suppliers.\n\nStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic startup environment.\n\nBenefits\nMedical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance plans covering a range of services\nSaronic pays 100% of the premium for employees and 80% for dependents\nDental and Vision Insurance: Coverage for routine dental check-ups, orthodontics, and vision care\nSaronic pays 100% of the premium under the basic plan for employees and 80% for dependents\nTime Off: Generous PTO and Holidays\nParental Leave: Paid maternity and paternity leave to support new parents\nCompetitive Salary: Industry-standard salaries with opportunities for performance-based bonuses\nRetirement Plan: 401(k) plan with company match\nStock Options: Equity options to give employees a stake in the company’s success\nLife and Disability Insurance: Basic life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage\nPet Insurance: Discounted pet insurance options including 24/7 Telehealth helpline\nAdditional Perks: Free lunch benefit and unlimited free drinks and snacks in the office\nSaronic CCPA Notice for Candidates and California Employees\nIf this role is based in the United States, it requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status.
